12.01.2022 Hillside RFS will carry out a Hazard Reduction burn tomorrow so please do not be alarmed about smoke in the Glenorie area. The burn is part of a RFS overall plan to reduce the risk of Bushfires in the upcoming Summer fire season

10.01.2022 NOTIFICATION OF HAZARD REDUCTION BURN Location:Scheyville National Park Date:Friday 28 August 2020 Time:10am 12 midnight... The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting a hazard reduction burn this Friday commencing at approximately 10am and concluding around midnight. Crews will continue to patrol the fire overnight and into Saturday. The burn area will be along Midson Road and Dormitory Hill Road within Scheyville National Park and NSW Rural Fire Service will be assisting. If you have any concerns regarding this burn please feel free to contact the NPWS Cumberland Area Office at Scheyville on 4572 3100 during normal business hours

02.01.2022 Cattai Ridge Road is closed in both direction between Miller and Halcrows. No traffic is being let through. Road will likely be closed for a few hours. Hazard reduction burn planned for today is cancelled, and will be rescheduled.

01.01.2022 Hillside was called to a MVA ( Motor Vehicle accident) this morning on Cattai Ridge rd. We found a car upside down in the middle of the road near the intersection with Halcrows rd. Nobody was injured but traffic was delayed while debris was cleared away. Police & Ambulance also attended the scene Please drive carefully
