24.01.2022 Weston Fencing Kangaroo Feral control, over 5km now installed on 2 properties bordering Providence Ponds conservation area ( A very high Kangaroo concentration ) in Fernbank/Meerlieu with results beyond the expectations of the property owners. Paddocks that had previously been "sacrificed" to the roos now producing more than ever even in the middle of an East Gippsland drought. The fence consisting of Waratah Jio 165mm posts @ 10m centres with pre drilled ISPs (Insulated Su...spension Post) @ every other 3 .3 meters each attached by 2 curl on type clips to hold firmly in place. At 1470mm high and 8 wires ( 4 earth return and 4 hot ) when properly installed and matched with a new generation of Galaghah " i series energiser" its a very simple and cost effective Kangaroo control fence that will see many years of service. 17.01.2022 Hillside Rural is pretty damn Happy to announce, that in conjunction with Brown Wigg in Bairnsdale and Waratah Fencing Products that we have been appointed by Strathfieldsaye Estate in Perry Bridge (East Gippsland) to supply and install 15,250m meters of Kangaroo exclusion fencing. :-) Its been a busy couple of weeks designing and constructing specialised equipment to get the job done in the most efficient manner (more to come on that later ) Yesterday the materials were del...ivered to site, some interesting facts for you to divulge about over 15km of Kangaroo fence. # Two Semis were required to deliver the materials with a payload weighing in at 42 tonnes # 3000 waratah star posts (2250 2.4 m Jio Gal posts + 750 2.4m Jio Maxy Posts (star posts on steroids ;-) ) # 16,250 clips will be used to attach the wire to the posts # if you were to add up all the wire in the fence including the Stock Lock, support wires and electric it would be just shy of 1/2 a million meters of wire See more
