20.01.2022 Buying those little bunches of coriander hurts me so much when this is the harvest size i'm use to. Onion, coriander & seaweed salt is the result. In the words of Sinead O'Connor Nothing compares

17.01.2022 My lease in Mt.Barker will be ending early January. My story of upcycling all sorts of potential waste to create a space I love, to share with clients begins with a business in Mt.Barker. I feel that everybody is in for a quick buck anywhere they can get it these days. Social media is bombarded with people trying to get us to buy. Marketplace. Gum tree. Email. ... I spotted a 600cm x 25cm x25cm wooden crate/box at a trailer fabrication business & phoned to ask if I could have it for a garden bed. The non greedy words to follow were 'have it. Its yours' This made my week! My Dad & Penny helped me make wicking beds for herbs. My dream is to offer clients to snip fresh herbs if they like. To have them at no cost to take home & create with them. I LOVE my space

16.01.2022 3 months ago I acknowledged I'm getting older, & building muscle is only going to get harder from here on. Thanks perimenopause I'll have to exercise harder & longer to see a change. I'm liking that my body is feeling firmer, but it has come at a cost. The costs:... I have lost an hour of sleep 4 mornings/week. Waking up at 5:40am to be in my shed exercising by 6am. I waited until after 7 on weekends. I lost the want to eat far too much food - my serving sizes & snacks were far too big. I lost the desire to eat processed food far too often .... and that's it. My diet did change. I incorporated a vegetarian day each week & 2 seafood days. I didn't eat many carb loaded meals. The carb foods were generally high in fiber & protein, such as rolled oats, quinoa, sweet potato, brown rice, & the serving sizes were small. No low-fat food was consumed - EVER. I ate goat & sheep products, not dairy. In addition I used some Naturopathic products. No caffeine based ones designed to 'boost' my metabolism. Exercise was doing this for me. The products were primarily gut based, lymphatic focused & a regular dose of magnesium . I didn't mind spending money on herbs as I didn't spend a dime on gym fees If you're self motivated to commit to exercising regularly, increasing a focus on healthy food & providing a herbal nudge to support your body to do what you want it to do, send me a message @ Lobethal

15.01.2022 When I go to bed unsure if my belly muscles will be sore in the morning from axe throwing or laughing so much.

10.01.2022 Following the fires, a farmer told me we would have the best crops ever in the season following. He told me I didn't want to hear it, but He was right! We have cut more hay than ever before off of the same paddocks. ... After skimping by this year by destocking, utilising kind offers from neighbours to graze our stock & dividing up hay we were kindly donated, to last the distance ... we can finally relax. We have hay to feed our animals this Summer, Autumm & Winter. Now to cart it ..... not one complaint will be said

03.01.2022 #kangarooisland #orchidhunting As a child Mum & Dad often took us out hunting for orchids. I didn't realise at the time how lucky I was. Today, with my Dad & Penny, we drove to fire impacted & non-impacted ground searching for orchids. All I wanted to do was find a snake orchid ... & whoa, what a find. One as thick as my little finger. I haven't seen one since I was a teen.
