22.01.2022 Does someone you love struggle with depression? I’m so glad there is more awareness around how hard it is to suffer from depression, but we often forget to speak about how challenging it can be for those of us who love someone who suffers from depression. When you love someone who suffers from this illness, it can be a challenging road which can feel very lonely. I want you to know you are not alone, we are here to help and support you.

20.01.2022 It’s R U OK? Day today! I love that we have this day to remind us that asking this question is an everyday thing. Please remember that there is more to say after R U OK? Listen, encourage action and check back in. If you are not okay, reach out to us and we’d love to help. You are worth taking care of!

16.01.2022 It can be hard for kids to find the right words to express their feelings. At HRC we have lots of ways to help little people with their big feelings. Sometimes they can’t find the words to tell us how they are feeling, but they can show us with bear cards or by using some of our great toys #familytherapy #hillsrelationshipcentre

06.01.2022 Hills Relationship Centre is a very proud sponsor of the Oakville Raiders Baseball club. You may be wondering why counsellors would sponsor a sporting team? We are all about healthy relationships with self and others. Kids learn about relationships from a very young age. They learn from their families but also from sports, like baseball. Team sports not only teach them healthy relationship skills, like collaboration, team work, communication skills, supporting and encouraging others. It also teaches the much needed life skills like resilience, respect, being teachable, learning from mistakes, managing disappointments and frustrations, as well as celebrating their achievements. Go team
