24.01.2022 Meet our Hills Relay Committee Introducing Feona Henness What is your role on the committee? Social Media ... How long have you been involved with Hills Relay For Life? This is my 6th year Why did you become involved with Hills Relay For Life? I am also on the Committee at Hills District Little Athletics and we were looking for a charity to support to give back to the community We chose Relay for Life.. Plus my husband and I are both survivors so it is a cause very close to my heart! What do you love about being on the committee? Giving back and making a difference in our community! Plus the friendships you make. I have met so many amazing, passionate people during my Hills Relay for Life journey! Favourite Relay For Life memory? Walking hand in hand with my husband in 2018 for my 3rd and his very first Survivor’s Lap. We hope we will have many more Survivor Laps together! Fundraising tip? Sell Raffle Tickets! Always amazing prizes on offer. At Hills District Little Athletics we dedicate our last running day of the season to PurpleLetics. We turn everything purple and have a cake stall and raffles It is a super fun day and raises money at the same time Something about you others might not know? I would love to live on a little "farm" with fruit trees, veggie garden and chookies... and just spend the rest of my days pottering around my garden and cooking up a storm in my kitchen!

How long have you been involved with Hills Relay For Life? Since 2004. Why did you become involved with Hills Relay For Life? A very close friend was undergoing Cancer Treatment. What do you love about being on the committee? The friendships you make, making a difference in our community, meeting wonderful people who support our cause. Favourite Relay For Life memory? The Hope Ceremony . It is so moving. Fundraising tip? A golden oldie Raffle Tickets. Great prizes help sell the tickets.

19.01.2022 Help needed - Christmas Gift Wrap at Castle Towers. Our amazing Ruth Didsbury is looking for helpers again for this year's Christmas Gift Wrapping at Castle Towers.. 13.01.2022 Meet our Hills Relay Committee Introducing Jaime Berglin..... What is your role on the committee? Teams & Schools ... How long have you been involved with Hills Relay For Life? This will be my second year on the Committee! Why did you become involved with Hills Relay For Life? I was a Team Captain in 2018 and loved organising and getting involved more actively than just participating, so I put in an expression of interest. What do you love about being on the committee? I love that I’m working with a group of people all as motivated and passionate as I am. Favourite Relay For Life memory? My first ever Hope ceremony in 2016, such a moving and emotional experience. Fundraising tip? Thinking of something creative to sell on the day can be a great way to raise some extra money. Something about you others might not know? I started to learn to play the guitar in lockdown.
