22.01.2022 *New information for court fees- Social tennis fees will remain at $5 per person even if you are an LTA member, this fee has been agreed with LTA and Exies staff. This is to ensure we cover our costs for lights, court maintenance and insurance. Especially during these times while we don't have any LTA comps running. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us on Facebook. Thankyou for you understanding and please keep enjoying your tennis as the courts are open for hire during club hours. 01.01.2022 ANZ TENNIS HOT SHOTS ANZ Tennis Hot Shots is fun, social and active. And it’s the easiest way for kids aged 10 and under to learn how to play tennis. The courts and racquets are smaller, the balls don’t bounce as high so they’re easier to hit and kids love it. Developed by coaching professionals, this program is Tennis Australia’s official kids starter program and promotes the use of smaller courts and slower balls to teach children how to play tennis. Children progress throu...gh three stages Red, Orange and Green as their ability improves. This approach to teaching kids tennis is also recommended by the International Tennis Federation. Like to know more about ANZ Tennis Hot Shots? Visit the official ANZ Tennis Hot Shots website RED EXPLORE (AGES 58) The Red stage is for beginners. The red ball is larger than a yellow ball and doesn’t bounce as high, making it a breeze for even the youngest players to hit it comfortably. While the courts and nets used in the red stage are much smaller and easier for kids to move around. ORANGE STAGE DEVELOP (AGES 810) After mastering the Red stage, children move on to the Orange stage where the ball bounces a little higher and faster and the court is a bit bigger. GREEN STAGE ENCOURAGE (AGES 9+) The ball used in the Green stage bounces higher and faster than the orange ball and children play on a full-size court. Finally, when they are ready, kids graduate to the yellow ball and play on a full-size court. LIKE TO KNOW MORE?
