25.01.2022 9 of our Preschoolers went on their HCS Orientation Excursion this morning. Excited was an understatement . Ms Maher & Steph picked us up from BL on the School Bus and took us for a drive past the school to check out some of the cool things at big school! We then went to the library where Ms Maher did some literacy & numeracy activities with us. We enjoyed a story and some singing too. I asked them on the way back did they want to go back to Billylids or go to Big School, their reply was Big School. Thanks Ms Maher & Steph for a great morning of learning. And to Maeves mum Mish who came along to give us a helping hand

22.01.2022 Did you know? Eating fruit and vegetables every day will help your child grow strong and healthy. Children aged 2-3 years should eat 1 serve of fruit and 2.5 serves of vegetables and children aged 4-8 years should eat 1.5 serves of fruit and 4.5 serves of vegetables, each day. (Approximately half of these amounts for toddlers aged 1-2 years). Check out our scrumptious fruit platters the children enjoyed for morning tea today

22.01.2022 How awesome are our Busy Bees!? Look at these awesome sand art creations! The children took their time picking their colours and carefully sprinkled the sand on their paper. This activity took some great concentration and patience.

17.01.2022 FRIDAY FUNDAY Spontaneous adventures are the best!

16.01.2022 Our little ones have been enjoying small and simple sensory activities. Our bags filled with water and glitter create an easy look and find sensory activity, our babies thoroughly enjoyed touching and squishing the bags with their fingers. We created a tooth brushing activity with shaving foam, tooth brushes, rocks and chalk. The children worked hard to clean the chalk off of their rocks but the best part was exploring the texture of the shaving foam.

13.01.2022 A simple activity like frogs in a tub with sand can create many opportunities for learning! The children spent time counting their frogs, comparing the colours to see which are the same, practising their prepositions of place (under, behind, next to...) but most importantly they used their imagination for pretend play!
