22.01.2022 Race 2 Less than a week to Enter We NEED volunteers Urgently !!! At this point in time, we cannot even hold the race! We cannot even setup the racks! Not to mention we have no-one during the race to help out.... Setup - 7 people (you can still race) Registration - 2 people (you can still race) 7 to 9 year old race - 2 people (those doing the sprint, enticer or 12 year old races can still race) 7 to 9 year old race - 1 person on a bike (those doing the sprint, enticer or 12 year old races can still race) Transition marshals - 4 people Run marshal on the hill near finish - 1 person Run marshal on the sprint/enticer turn around - 1 person (bring a chair!) There are many selfless reasons to volunteer (it feels good, you are giving back, etc.) but I will give you some that are about YOU! Extra chances to win the lucky door prizes! You are then eligible to win awards at the end of the season, to win ANYTHING at presentation night you need to volunteer at least once! For those of you who do not race in the Hills races, this is a good chance to make yourself eligible. Did you know there are awards for 2019-2020 that we cannot award as NO-ONE volunteered? We also had to move to the 2nd or 3rd place getter as those higher up the order did not help out. You need to register prior to next Thursday, but the earlier, the better. As the race director needs CONFIRMED numbers in order to decide whether to hold the race or not! Volunteer Sign Up https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a044dacaf2eaaf58-garmin9 Race entry is still open - there is a week left to enter! Race Entry http://my.raceresult.com/159561/ Womens Race - November 22, 11am to 2pm We need more volunteers! We have 3 empty spots on the packup crew. 21.01.2022 The Hills Tri club were delighted to host its first ever womens only event on the weekend, in partnership with the NSW Office of Sport program- ‘Her Sport Her Way’, Triathlon NSW funded eleven clubs across NSW to run their own women’s events to help attract and encourage first-timers to their club, particularly females aged 13-25. Our event consisted of a 200m open water swim, 10km flat closed course bike, and an out and back 2km run-walk. The theme was finish lines, not... finish times and it was important for us to provide a platform for a supportive, encouraging environment to entice women to give the multisport scene a TRY. It was our club’s second event post COVID, and despite restrictions on crowds, gatherings, and our number of entrants, there was most definitely a buzz of excitement as 150 women and young ladies embarked on the regatta centre late Sunday morning, as our morning competitors were exiting having completed our club race earlier that day. For over 100 ladies, this would be their very first taste of swim bike run. We had ladies making a comeback, some were returning from injury, many facing (& overcoming) lifelong fears of open water, young girls trying out the sport and doing the event as a team, as well as numerous mother & daughter teams. We would like to thank Margaret George for assisting on course and helping our athletes in her TO role, as well as Louise MacKinlay as ambassador for our event. Lou was an integral part of our team in the leadup where she was interacting, giving advice and answering questions through our private facebook event group. We were so lucky to have you Lou, and thank you for taking time out of your Sunday to spend it at our event, and on our finishline to present each finisher with their medal. There were some wonderful prizes donated for this event, and would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors for your generosity. Our winners were notified by our lucky door prize draw video being posted to the facebook group later that day. Thank you to - Mizuno, Catfish Designs athlete apparel, RunFaster gear activewear, TammysTreasures Nutrimetics, Running Science & Onebody Health + Fitness

21.01.2022 Well done to all our Hills members who were able to attend club champs this weekend. The EE team and Tri NSW did an amazing job to bring this event to fruition during this covid year! There was great atmosphere out along the course, despite the rules, no crowds no mingling and no gatherings. Our red army with limited troops fought hard and we had some gutsy efforts out there; congrats to all who took part. A special shout-out to our full contingent of volunteers out on co...urse all morning. Warringah took the title this year and were a huge presence out on course so well done team fluoro pink & yellow socks. The fire in our belly is lit, can we take the title back in 2021? Who’s with us?!
