23.01.2022 Here we are in the last week lead up to the online festival. Community group submissions are in, raffle tickets are selling, festival workshop materials are being compiled, timetables are being hammered out, tech rehearsals are actually working. Looking good for this Saturday at 11am.

21.01.2022 Just wanted to thank everyone who has put together a community uke group clip for Saturday. We have an eclectic mix of rehearsal audio, previous performance clips, computer assisted isolation clips and mash ups of previous gigs. It is going to be a wild ride. I also wanted to give a really big Thank You to Peter from Hans Music Spot who organised the Raffle prizes for the event. Hans Music has been a fantastic supporter of the Hills Ukulele festival for years now. Not only is Peter supporting the festival, he is running a music shop under Covid-19 conditions and he just recently welcomed his second child into the world. You will probably recognize him on Saturday as the guy who looks even more sleep deprived than I do.

The Program is also waiting till the 10th as we won't know how many groups are sending in a clip until then. 20.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE: We are sad to see that stage four restrictions will continue for retail stores for a little while yet, however we have fine tuned and finalise...d our click-and-collect protocol so that web orders can now be collected from our store in a safe manner. Instead, this meme from the Spartanburg Ukulele Group sums up why we are all bothering. COVID-19 is a deadly virus. It also puts a serious monkey wrench into what ukulele groups are all about. Thank you to everyone who has had a hand in making tomorrow possible and everyone planning on tuning in and being a part of it and feeling that sense of connection.

07.01.2022 Hello happy ukers, Whittlesea Community House is thrilled to announce that the Whittlesea Uke Muster 2020 will be held on Saturday 29 August 2020 from 10am-5pm.... It will be online via zoom given the current restrictions but just as fun (and still free thanks to a handy City of Whittlesea grant) There will be workshops with some favourite uke players and teachers, a whiteboard concert at lunchtime to show and enjoy community uke groups and individuals from all over, and also a fancy dress fiesta finale!
