22.01.2022 Wednesday wisdom, have you started thinking about next year’s goals yet?

20.01.2022 Happy Easter everyone

17.01.2022 Motivation Monday

15.01.2022 Happy FriYAY What are you great full for this week? For me it’s seeing one of our baby goats recovering well from tick paralysis and being able to watch videos of eldest daughter Isobelle and her super pony Dynomite competing at Brisbane CDN

13.01.2022 Fantastic to see the sun The water has just cleared off the bridge and it is now clear to come out . The horses have all coped really well but will need careful checking when you are able to get here, things that are common are swelling of legs, greasy heel, rain scald and mozzie bites. The arena has held up well so I would suggest some nice gentle work or walking would be beneficial, don’t expect your horse to perform at their usual standard as they have been standing out... in all that wet weather for days and will be quite stiff!! I have included a photo of some of the products I find helpful in these conditions, I should also add that eyes will need attention with conjunctivitis a possible issue with the amount of flies that will emerge, salt water wash is a good thing to use so throw in some salt to your first aid kit. Any wounds will need to be watched carefully as infection will take off easily in this weather. Any questions please just ask and once again please be mindful that the ground is absolutely saturated and can’t be driven on See more

11.01.2022 Fabulous Friday What are you great full for today? For me it’s seeing our horse Django coming along beautifully with his physio/rehab work and enjoying the spring weather

08.01.2022 Beautiful moonlight, nearly don’t need to use the lights tonight

07.01.2022 We as Instructors are responsible for the Motivation and Positivity in our barns. Here are some words my clients have heard over and over Talking about wanting to show means actually putting your butt in the saddle & doing real riding and training, at least 5 days a week. Anything else is a Pipe Dream and not realistic for you or your horse's well being.... 1. So, it takes 30 days to make or break a habit. 2. Keep a Daily Journal. 3. Remove all Naysayers & Un Motivational Friends & Family as they will drag you down. 4. When it gets tough, call someone else who has the same dream and desire you do to lift you back up. 5. Even if it's raining and you can not ride, do showmanship in the barn, extra grooming on that mane and tail, clean your tack and give your horse a nice massage. 6. Wait For No One. If you wait for someone else to ride with you, you will still be sitting in the barn... 7. Leave the Cell Phone in the car or in the tack room. Your Family & friends know you are at the barn. Anyone who keeps calling you to distract you- Does not respect you and your goals. Refer to #3 8. Just because everyone else quit early and headed to the barn does not mean you do if you are still working and have things to do. Likewise, if they stop to chit chat , keep riding. Evidently, they do not have the same goals as you. And that's OK. 9. Take pictures at the start and each week. Look at the changes. (You won's see them daily) Post them where you can see them daily. Smile.. 10. It won't be easy, but it will be worth every ounce of sweat, all those sore, tired muscles and caluses you got... The rewards of achieving your Goals make it all worth while. Plus then, the Right People come into your world and you all have the same Goals and can appreciate what each other has attained.

07.01.2022 Fabulous FriYay! What are you great full for this week?
