19.01.2022 A few chores at the hop yard over winter to improve soil health. The multi-species cover crop is growing well and the tillage radish is penetrating down to open up the soil profile. The anaerobic compost pile is breaking down nicely and the beds are mulched. Healthy soil means healthy plants, looking forward to our next harvest January 2021.

19.01.2022 Squeezing in another few beds on our 1/4 acre hop yard. Cover crop plowed in, additional top soil spread, holes (mostly) dug for poles. I hosed the soil off the top of a crown to harvest a few rhizomes. Great weather for being outdoors, sunny and mild.

07.01.2022 Spring has sprung and string has strung. We put up around 1000 strings this week, spread some mulch and the 3rd year Victoria are the early risers.

02.01.2022 One of the bigger challenges facing the BNE IPA this year was how to fit 22 breweries, 6 companies making major donations, and 1 mental health education charity... on a single can. For that, we've spent many hours designing something, and would have gotten nowhere if it weren't for the absolutle legends at Ultra Labels. Not only are they donating all the labels for this beer, but they've turned our design into something that will look incredible. See for yourself next week.
