23.01.2022 The bees are amazing. :D

21.01.2022 Honey bees make honey from nectar to fuel their flight and our sweet tooth. But they also need pollen for protein. So they trap, brush and pack it into baskets on their legs to make a special food called bee bread.

19.01.2022 The combination of drought and fire is having a devastating impact on honey production.

19.01.2022 Honey fans, we need your help. Since August, the unprecedented loss of floral resource from drought and bushfire has battered the Australian beekeeping indust...ry. Devastation from the relentless bushfires has wiped out millions of hectares of bushland that Aussie beekeepers rely on to keep their bees healthy. The harsh reality is, it could take up to a decade for the bush to recover from these catastrophic events. So, through Rural Aid's Hive Aid campaign, we are proud to now offer our new Drought & Bushfire Relief pack. By choosing this product you are helping to support Australia’s ‘littlest livestock’, honey bees, and the forgotten farmers who care for them, with 20c per pack proudly being donated to the Hive Aid campaign. The new 340g pack is now on sale in supermarkets and stores, although the full roll-out will take several weeks. In addition to the 340g relief pack, 20 cents from every 340g Capilano classic honey pack sold will also contribute to the cause, even if the packaging does not display the new Drought & Bushfire Relief label. It will take some time to get these special packs across our retailers, but beekeepers need help now which is why the fundraising efforts will occur immediately on both packs in this picture. We hope that everyone can get behind the cause to help us raise significant funds to support beekeepers, Australia wide, impacted by bushfire and drought. #supportaussiebeekeepers #HiveAid #Australianhoney #dontforgetthebeekeepers #bushfires #australiafires #bushfiresaustralia

05.01.2022 Raw honey is honey that hasn’t been heated or pasteurised , and it contains natural vitamins, enzymes, powerful antioxidants, and other important nutrients. Raw... honey has anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal properties, and promotes digestive health. Raw, local honey also contains a blend of local pollen, which can strengthen a person’s immune system, and reduce pollen allergy symptoms. If a coarse strainer is used without heating, then the honey will contain the #pollen that was present in the original honey from the local area. If this local honey is ingested regularly, it can reduce pollen allergy symptoms in humans. By supporting #local honey producers, you can verify that the honey you’re purchasing is truly raw and has the beneficial properties that humans have used for centuries to treat many ailments. However, most commercial honey does not use the processing methods. Instead, very fine filters are used along with heat to create pasteurised honey with a long shelf life. The pasteurised, and ultra-filtered honey does not have the nutritional benefits of raw honey. Local raw honey available www.beethecure.com See more
