25.01.2022 Our kitchen staff might be a little one eyed but they tell us their meals are the best in the west. Remember that our quarterly general meeting is at 5pm to hear where the club is at. Still have our usual raffles members jackpot of $100 and of course Friday meals. Footy will be on the telly and everyone is welcome.

23.01.2022 It's gonna be cold Friday night but we can remedy that with a warm meal. New additions have been added to try so join us for a fun night of food drinks and raffles. We're still the best in the west for over 90 years. Everyone's welcome at the Hilton RSL.

Stay home, stay safe and don't forget mobile phones can be used for something besides Facebook. Give a loved one a call and check in how they are going. 12.01.2022 Our barman having a cheeky nibble behind the bar on one of new light meal options of falafel. He says it's delicious. Don't let the fact he's married to the cook fool you. Michelle made that dish a lot better than our first trial on Friday night which was still pretty good. Our meals just keep getting better. Try one out and you be the judge.

04.01.2022 IMPORTANT STATEMENT from your Hilton RSL Secretary. With the sudden COVID Regulations changes made by the SA Government on Monday the Hilton RSL committee has decided to close the club for 2 days on Wednesday and Thursday for COVID-19 safe plan re-evaluation and re-training of staff. The club will reopen on Friday 20th of November at our normal opening hours for meals and raffles as usual. Please note our capacity will be lowered to 75 and all patrons must be seated while... drinking and will be asked to social distance as much as possible. The health and safety of our members and the general public are our priority. Rest assured that the latest SA Health directives will be followed and all precautionary measures will be taken to the best of our abilities. Apologies for any inconvenience however this decision was made for the greater good of the community in mind. Stay vigilant, stay safe, keep in contact with loved ones and let's hope the latest cases can be isolated quickly so we can all continue back on the path to some kind of normality. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for latest updates. I wish you all the very best of health and hope to see you soon. Matt Hueppauff Hilton RSL Secretary. See more

04.01.2022 For those hoping that we still had Porterhouse steak on the menu for lunch today, we are sorry to disappoint however we sold out on Friday night. As a substitute we have added the classic Bangers & Mash for today's lunch. Just a tip the onion gravy that Michelle our Sunday cook makes is delicious.

03.01.2022 Aussie inspired menu for tonight's meals. Just remember you don't need to be a member to visit the club as we always say everyone is welcome. If you do decide to become a member not only do you save money on your bar purchases you also help the RSL and veterans as we are a not for profit club run mostly by volunteers. It's an easy way to help others by having a meal and a drink or two in the company of great locals. Make today the day you visit the Hilton RSL.

03.01.2022 Due process must be assured in ADF investigation The Returned & Services League of Australia (RSL) says that, despite the horrific and reprehensible allegation...s, all personnel suspected of alleged war crimes in Afghanistan are entitled to due process and this must be assured in the pending further investigations. This follows the release of the Inspector-General’s report and the investigation by New South Wales’ Justice Paul Brereton into alleged unlawful killings and other possible breaches of the laws of armed conflict. The RSL views the allegations as extremely serious but speculation has already impacted adversely on veterans who served in Afghanistan, the vast majority of whom are in no way involved in the alleged conduct. RSL National President Greg Melick said the organisation was aware of the significant strain this matter had placed on all veterans and their families. The further investigations must ensure that service personnel are treated with procedural fairness, in accordance with due process and not pre-judged. Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel serve in a unique and highly challenging environment and the allegations, resulting inquiry, report, subsequent announcements and media speculation have caused considerable distress and mental health concerns. The RSL is committed to supporting all serving and ex-serving members of the ADF through the provision of wellbeing and general support to veterans and their families. We encourage any former or serving personnel suffering adverse impacts and distress to immediately contact their local RSL Sub-Branch for direction to access wellbeing and other support services or call Open Arms on 1800 011 046, General Melick said.
