09.01.2022 What a great morning at the Ingham Raintree Community Market on Sunday! Plenty of chats about preparing for disasters - information on flood heights, storm surge, evacuation zones, bushfires and packing emergency kits. There was excitement galore with the running of Get Ready Relays, loads of giveaways and displays of the Rural Fire Service truck and Police car! ... If you missed out on visiting the markets, there's still plenty of time to pop into Council's Lannercost Street Office foyer to grab what information you need to Get Ready Hinchinbrook! 05.01.2022 Do you know your Local Area Warden? A full list can be found in the picture below, and on Council's website Disaster and Emergency Information page https://bit.ly/36DFyNX In a disaster event, residents can contact their Warden should they have anything to report, or if requiring assistance.... Wardens may be able to help with residents' enquiries, contact the Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) direct, or advise what options the resident may have to meet their requirements. Please note that residents can also contact the SES on 132 500 for information and assistance. For life threatening emergencies, always call "000" immediately.
