06.01.2022 Congratualtions to Cardwell Gallery member & artist Lavinia & good luck! Lavinia Letheby's entry into the 2020 Lester Art Portrait Prize has been selected as a semi finalist in the prestigious Western Australia Portrait Prize. Her painting of Alwyn Doolan will displayed digitally around Perth CBD during the month of November as a part of the art awards Salon Showcase. The painting depicts the image of Alwyn Doolan, a proud Goorang Goorang Wakka Wakka man, who walked over 85...00km to deliver three Message Sticks to The newly elected Australian government in 2019. He however was not granted the chance to meet. Ms Letheby's painting showcases her interpretation of his historic walk and is entitled "Will You See Me Now?" Part proceeds of sales of limited edition prints will go to help fund the making of the documentary of this incredible journey.
