25.01.2022 RAILTON ROAD UPDATE - RAILTON TO LATROBE Council has received an update from the Department of State Growth advising that works on Railton Road (from Railton to... Tasmania Police will be notified when the road is open, so please check the Tasmania Police website for confirmation of the road opening prior to travel. Please share this update! See more

25.01.2022 Mersey Main Road, Latrobe (From Frogmore Road) is closed due to flooding. For further updates please check Tasmania Police website

24.01.2022 Mobile phones not working at the moment. Trying to get to the bottom of it.

23.01.2022 There are still a lot of roads closed around Tasmania http://www.police.tas.gov.au//road-closures-11-july-1100h/ (last updated at 0731) and areas without power http://www.tasnetworks.com.au/current-power-outages

23.01.2022 Just confirming the Railton - Latrobe Road is open all the way to Frogmore corner, and the Road through Tarlton to Devonport is also open. From Caroline Creek ...the speed limit is restricted and there is a lot of gravel. The scene is quite surreal with large logs strewn across the paddocks between Caroline creek and Dollys, while the lower paddocks closer to Latrobe look like mudflats. So take it easy driving through, try not to get distracted by the scenery. Thanks to everyone who worked hard to the the road open.

23.01.2022 Some days you just dont know where this job will take you, yesterday Nathan and his truck ended up on the edge of Tasmanias World Heritage Wilderness Area in the Arm River Valley working on diggers that have been clearing slips front the June flood.

22.01.2022 Phones fixed (hopefully) for now.

17.01.2022 Well after a stunningly disrupted week, last week and a quiet long weekend, Hindsight servicemen are back on the roads, ready to solve any number of hydraulic problems.

17.01.2022 RAILTON ROAD IS CURRENTLY CLOSED. Tas Police notification http://www.police.tas.gov.au/community-alerts/

17.01.2022 POLICE BLITZ SPEEDING OFFENDERS ON RAILTON ROAD Tasmania Police continue to pay attention to motorists exceeding the 40km/hr speed limit along Railton Road betw...een Mersey Main Road and Caroline Creek with 28 speeding infringements issued from 1-13 September. The majority of these were to motorists driving 30-37kms above the designated speed limit of 40km/hr that is in effect due to the deterirated road surface from the Latrobe floods. The Department of State Growth advise that the tender to repair Railton Road has been awarded and the contractor is expected to be on site by the end of September. Railton Road should have its final seal before Christmas 2016 with intermittent delays occurring through this process. *** Queries about Railton Road should be referred to the Department of State Growth via [email protected] or phone 6477 7062. *** See more

17.01.2022 Latrobe Council are doing a good job communicating the current road situation. We really appreciate it. But its a bit frustrating observing how few drivers seem to be obeying the speed limit signs on the damaged Latrobe - Railton road. Please be considerate to the residents and fellow divers on the dusty loose surface - Keep to the posted speeds.

16.01.2022 Water once again over Railton road. Apparently Railton Road and Kimberly Road will be closed at 2.00 today. Drive carefully.

16.01.2022 Were wishing all our customers and suppliers a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

14.01.2022 DO YOU HAVE ANY images of Gilbert Street before and during the water rise of 6 June? If so, can you please email them to [email protected]. They are n...eeded to support affected property owners in their insurance claim as evidence of where the waters originated from - stormwater, creek or river. See more

10.01.2022 Latrobe-Railton road is open, check out Latrobe Council pages for more details.

06.01.2022 Its worth taking a look at the attached media release, there are a range of images clearly depicting the damaged and lost bridges of Kentish.

06.01.2022 The word on the street is that Contractors are getting stuck into the Latrobe-Railton road, with hopes of getting it open by the weekend. Im sure if they manage it the residents of this area will be very relieved and thankful.

04.01.2022 An alternate route out of Railton to Devonport / Latrobe appears to be open, Via Kimberley & Gannons Hill Road. It appears to be about the same distance as via Sheffield to Devonport, but itll be quicker to get to Latrobe.

03.01.2022 Repairs to #RailtonRoad and #MerseyMainRoad will begin by the end of September and should be complete in December. Treloar Transport Co. was appointed this week... to repair both roads, including pavement repairs and erosion protection. The roads will remain open to traffic at all times during works, but there will be reduced speed limits and traffic management in place.

03.01.2022 Its Christmas time again, Best wishes from. The Hindsight Team.
