24.01.2022 We absolutely LOVE looking at photos of Canungra through the ages and hearing stories of this beautiful town from locals whom have been here for many years or grown up here and we like trying to place the old photos with the Canungra of today! We thought we would share these photographs with you and should you have any photos of Canungra we would love it if you could share it with us :) We found the photos and information about each photo online. If you would like the websi...te details just send us a message and we'd be happy to share. The first photo is Armistice Day Parade along Appel Street in November 1918. This photo would have been taken around halfway up Appel St possibly where the Church is today. The second photo is the Canungra School of Arts 1908. This photo would have been taken from around where the Vets are today, looking down into the main part of town. We'll publish more photos soon and feel free to like, share and tag!

11.01.2022 Progress! Canungra Township used to have a passenger Railway. The first photograph is of Canungra Railway Station circa 1918. ... Queensland Government Railways connected the Brisbane line that ended at Logan Village to Canungra in 1914. Passengers and timber could now be transported by rail to Brisbane and was closed down soon after World War II. The primary school is now on the site. The second picture is a map of Canungra Township showing where the railway tracks originally stood.

06.01.2022 The many faces of Canungra Hotel! First photo is of Bellisima Guest House in 1928 which later became Hotel Canungra. The second photo is believed to be a man by the name of Mr Conaghan standing outside Hotel Canungra after it was licensed (no date provided).... The third photo is of Canungra Hotel and St Luke's which was taken in 1937 and looks as though it would have been taken approx. where our shop now stands looking over across D.J.Smith Park.
