18.01.2022 Membership Renewal Reminder Due: 30 June 2020 Dear Members,... Thank you to the members who have already renewed their membership. Remember that your membership to the club is a requirement that allows you to legally maintain your H Class licence. For those members who are in their probation period, prior to applying for for their licence, you are required to maintain your membership in order to be eligible to apply for your licence. As stated in our previous email, membership fees will not increase again this year. Should you be experiencing difficulties in payment, the Ezidebit option is available. This is a monthly direct debit of $35 ($55 family) with a 12 month commitment. Please contact us for further information and forms. Dear Members, Thank you all again for your support and ongoing membership of the best club in Queensland. Well, what a year it has been. So much has happened worldwide and within the club itself. Despite Covid 19 stopping us from shooting for a relatively short time, were back, with a considerable increase in membersh...ip. As many of you know, our first metallic silhouette shoot took place in February. Having successfully applied for, and then being able to officially hold this shoot has been a great achievement for the club. Many of our members now have successfully had their licence endorsed for C Class firearms. Again it is fantastic to see the way our club is continuing to develop. All of our competitions are becoming increasingly popular with members. Newer members should check competition calendars for more information about our range of competitions and times. IPSC is also on Thursday nights. Competitions held between our official comp shoots are recorded as signed competitions for licencing but do not count towards our club presentations.

13.01.2022 Although there was a smaller group attending our club presentation this morning, we enjoyed good food and some laughs. Congratulations to all of our medal recipients as well as to everyone who participated in competitions across the year. Our club wouldn't be the same without the friendly faces and mate-ship of our members. A big thank you to everyone who has helped us through the year, especially our BBQ chefs, Glenn, Mark and Frank, and our Air Pistol and IPSC Captains who organise and run matches. We appreciate everyone and the efforts they take to keep our club the best in the country.

We have noticed in the past few weeks an increasing number of members having licenses suspended, revoked or rejected due to matters from long ago which Weapons Licensing are saying suddenly makes those people not a fit and proper person to hold a firearm licence. We’ve seen more of this happening in the past few weeks than the past five years it is deeply concerning and we are working hard (even in the lead up to Christmas) to find out what is... going on. If you are a member and receive communication from Weapons Licensing regarding your status as a fit and proper person and/or suspending, rejecting or revoking your licence (or PTA etc) for that reason then please IMMEDIATELY send ALL correspondence and documentation related to the issue to us at [email protected] We will look at it and offer some guidance on how to proceed from there contact us first so we can help you. 04.01.2022 Dear Members, Our club has had an incredible year of growth, despite having to close for nearly 3 months due to Covid. Our memberships now well exceed 1200 and continue to grow strongly. Hillcrest has developed a brilliant reputation for having members who make others feel welcome and a valued part of our community. This goes beyond general sportsmanship and is seen in the genuine and friendly interactions throughout all club activities. I thank all of you for making our... club unique in this way. 2021 will be an exciting year for the club with many new events and competitions on our club calendar. After successfully securing Metallic Silhouette, it is great to announce that I have also been able to add Category M competitions (crossbow), and SSAA Practical Match to our list of approved club shoots.
