To our invaluable Volunteers, Community Groups, Local Businesses and Sponsors we thank you for patience and support as the committee worked through the many challenges we faced this year. 2021 will be a BIG year as we celebrate the 25th Year of the Working Dog Auction and will hit the $3mil mark of working dogs sold at the annual Australian Premier Working Dog Auction. 22.01.2022 It is with much sadness that I wish to inform you of our decision to cancel the Murtoa Agricultural Show for 2020. Given the current uncertainty about restricti...ons, the risk to our volunteers and community, we felt as a committee that the show could not go on. 21.01.2022 MBW2020 cancelled... Looking Forward to MBW2021 Two extremely difficult committee meetings were recently held for Murtoa’s Big Weekend 2020 (MBW2020) and the Mu...rtoa Show. These meetings both eventuated in the deciding vote to cancel this year’s event that was to be held 2-4 October 2020, due to the uncertainty of current times. With the enormity of the usual Big Weekend’s program, there were many elements to unpack and come to the hard decision to cancel the event. Elements such as abiding with the current COVID-19 rules and risk measures; putting volunteers, family and friends at risk; and the uncertainty of 'what the world will look like' in early October, were the underlying factors in the decision. Looking forward, the MBW and Murtoa Show committees are already planning a bigger and better Murtoa’s Big Weekend in 2021. Next year will mark the 25th year that this 3-day event began, and Murtoa Show will celebrate its 136th year.

14.01.2022 Calling all volunteers, creatives, and festival lovers - be part of the team that brings our annual not-for-profit music festival to life! Our 2020 festival in ...March was a great success and we're gearing up for the next festival! Due to COVID-19 restrictions, our next festival will be hosted in either 2021 or 2022. You'll be part of a group of volunteers dedicated to putting on a great show in Macarthur, south-west Victoria at Suffoir Winery. Profits from our festival are donated to local community groups and causes. We're looking for volunteers to help plan and promote the festival, as well as to help out on the day.
