25.01.2022 Friends, we've seriously missed you sitting on our barstools. It's been epic to bring you a slice of Hippo to you at home over the past months, and we've been blown away by your support. We've got some news with the easing of restrictions. We will not be opening for trade, because we are purely a bar. Restrictions require food to be ordered with drinks, and it's not feasible for us to operate as a restaurant. However we have the green light to book small, private whisky tasti...ngs at the bar. We're talking 6 whiskies over an hour and a half of big whisky chats, paired with individual cheese platters. 25.01.2022 This one is huge. Eddie Russell pulls together incredibly complex and bold flavours in his Single Barrel Reserve. Level 4 charring, 10 years in the barrel and punchy heat are the constant variables in this bourbon which varies from vanilla to butterscotch to snappy toffee. Come get it.

07.01.2022 Yum. Yum. YUM! "Cull-eela" is all about peat, executed elegantly time and time again. Each dram puts you straight in the Hebrides. Caol Ila is named for the secret cove to which puffer boats delivered barley, barrels and coal, returning to the Scottish mainland packed with bottles of the smoky good stuff.
