15.01.2022 Bass Coast Shire Council joined a growing number of leading councils by declaring a climate emergency in September 2019. The declaration was made in response to a community petition signed by over 1,000 community members, representing nearly 3% of the permanent population and is a clear indication that there is a strong and engaged local community ready to ramp up action on climate change. HIP V. HYPE were proud to work closely with Bass Coast to develop a Climate Change Act...ion Plan, which is currently in its draft stage to be considered by Council. 01.01.2022 People in Brunswick want protected bike lanes on Sydney Road. Since COVID-19 the amount of people riding around Melbourne has more than doubled. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for quieter, safer streets and clean air. The VicRoads survey on the future of Sydney Road was completed by more than 7,000 people, and Option 3 which included protected bike lanes, was rated highest by respondents, regardless of their mode of transport or purpose for visiting Sydney Rd.... Option 3 was also found by VicRoads to be the safest option, and is supported by Moreland Council. So whats the hold-up?
