24.01.2022 A little bit of tilling from today

24.01.2022 Bit of flat pack fun for the day for a new family to West Wyalong

23.01.2022 With this customer I had the opportunity to reuse old reclaimed rough saw cypress and build them an out door cupboard from scratch.

21.01.2022 Fire place and hearth install at my own house, tiles and fire picked out by my better half. The timber around the out side is old local salvaged and repurposed cypress (probably about +60yrs old). It has had the old rusty nails removed, the timber was then planed and sanded and a decretive edge profiled onto the top edge using a router to finish it off nicely

21.01.2022 Ensuite finished (except paint) for a happy customer

21.01.2022 Today we finished the tiling in a bathroom, kitchen and laundry. The Moroccan fish scale tiles came up nice, and look really on point in this kitchen. The bathroom has now been finished off and really came to life once we installed the finishing touches of the mirrors, shower screen and towel rails this arvo.

20.01.2022 Installed new ply cladding and added an extra wall for a dyno room, then painted black.

20.01.2022 Removed two windows a wall mounted aircon and doorway, built it all in lowered the ceiling and insulated both to create a walk-in wardrobe.

18.01.2022 Small roof repair on an old shed, I was a bit nervous about standing on it but was as solid as a new one maybe even better.

16.01.2022 Built a basic deck and a garden shed on a bush block just outside of West Wyalong

16.01.2022 Cleaned out a sheep shearing shed pen with a dirt floor for something different

16.01.2022 Something a little different and a solution to updating a kitchen, having it wrapped. The wrap used is the same high grade wrap used on vehicles which gives a durable finish with a lot of colours to choose from. Even fluro if someone wants a truly stand out kitchen.

16.01.2022 Fire place before and after, also modified the mantel as well.

15.01.2022 Removed an old brick fire place then matched wall panels to be the same as the rest of the room.

14.01.2022 A small laundry with the main objective to create more storage and bench space.

13.01.2022 Removed old damaged window and a lot of ant damaged timber, installed a smaller window and trimmed out. Had to make the best of the cladding as it is the plastic insulated type.

13.01.2022 Excited to let you know that Im now a member of the West Wyalong Fire & Rescue NSW team. Im proud to be able to give back to our local community in times of need. However this may mean I may have to quickly leave a job to attend an accident or emergency. On the rare occasion this does happen, Ill do my best to make sure the job I am working on gets back on track and promptly completed

12.01.2022 Sneak peak of what I'm up too

11.01.2022 This was a 4 week Reno, entire floor had to be removed as water damage had taken its toll over the years. Then it was finished off with 600x300 wall tiles and 300x300 on the floor a mondella toilet and new vanity and shower screen.

11.01.2022 For this customer I removed the old doors, rebuilt the wall in a different location then installed the new double sliding doors to increase the inside living area. After replastering the living area ceiling, I then finished off the job by installing a new section of ceiling outside, then plastered and matched up the exterior cladding.

10.01.2022 Finished removing paint from an old fireplace mantle, and has come up a treat.

10.01.2022 Another velux skylight install and light shaft put together. I had the opportunity to be creative with this one as the customer had a lead light they wanted to be reused. I built a heavy picture frame out of merati skirting that I had laminated. Then had it suspended in the light shaft to try make it look like its floating.

09.01.2022 Little bit of tiling in a smaller area, used a more modern looking tile on the floor at customers request. I think it was a pretty good call. Came up nice.

04.01.2022 Replaced old flyscreen, stripped the paint right back and repainted, strengthened the doors back up and oiled the deck to preserve it as much as possible. Great old homestead to work on.

04.01.2022 Some tilling I put down this week, a bit of skirting around the sides and fire place mantle to go and it will look a treat.

04.01.2022 Removed rotten timbers and out dated finishings, then created an eave and a weather board looking finish using a cement based product.

03.01.2022 For something a little different today, I installed the library book return shoot. With some extensive modifications to allow books to slide into the under counter collection trolley, it has come up a treat.

03.01.2022 Finished another Velux skylight installation with a custom light shaft built with all four sides widening as they come down to the ceiling to give a greater sense of space and to help throw more light around.

02.01.2022 Yesterday arvo I was inspired by a good friend to sort out a Christmas tree. Being a carpenter, the only real choice was to make one out of some scrap timber. Turned out ok and a bonus was that the wife was super happy with it! We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and also thank the lovely community of West Wyalong and surrounds for all your support and generosity. We are humbled and grateful for the many kind gestures and also understanding when some jobs were delayed when our little man arrived earth side. Without the lovely people of WW our first year in business would not have been as successful and enjoyable, so again thankyou!
