25.01.2022 A gentle reminder to all our hirers. Why do we ask you to thoroughly clean the float? We don’t know your horse, or the properties you’ve been to - you could unknowingly be bringing weeds or viruses back into our property. For biosecurity reasons we do require that the floor is either gernied or scrubbed with a brush or broom, and that you hose out the dirt and manure from the wheel arches. If you don’t have cleaning gear, just ask when you pick the float up! We can loan you... a hose, some detergent and a brush! Simply hosing the float out usually isn’t enough to give it a proper clean. Below we’ve attached two photos. 1. It’s only had a hose out. 2. It’s been scrubbed with detergent and a hard bristle broom. When the floor is wet, or you’re returning late at night, the float often looks cleaner than it actually is. Please, for the safety of myself, my family, and other hirers, take the time to clean it properly before returning it. Thanks everyone
