Looking forward to taking them back at some point in the future. For now enjoy your travels kiddos - at least you're able to leave the state.

20.01.2022 Earlier this year, it was confirmed by the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council (MPSC) that the Rosebud and surrounding areas foreshore reserves would remain closed until December 19th. This will have deep and far reaching, longterm financial implications for many businesses and local jobs. During a global pandemic, I can see and understand why the need to hold off on "opening up", however.... Now with 5 days in a row of zero cases and zero community transmission in Victoria, t...he Mornington Peninsula Shire Council have allegedly sent out correspondence to regular campers for the MP foreshore to suggest that the camp grounds will remain closed until Feb 1st 2021. The MP community relies heavily on tourism spending to keep its shops, cafe's, wineries, restaurants and other tourism associated local businesses alive. The MP has small and medium businesses that employ over 200,000 people. Every year for as long as I can remember, the MP foreshore has opened for campers and the family like community of campers, on Melbourne Cup weekend, bringing millions of dollars of local spending to the region. If the area is closed to a core area of tourism such as this, many businesses that rely on that spending to make it through the next winter, will be significantly impacted and may make it through to the end of the financial year, but will really struggle to be there next Christmas. The federal job keeper payments and minuscule state government grants will simply not be enough for them to survive. I hereby call on Chris Brayne MP Greg Hunt MP David Morris MP to look into this situation, clarify the local council and state position on allowing or denying the opening of the region and do all they can to work with local council and management boards to assist with the opening of this area and region ASAP. My business, Hire Our Camper relies on tourism of people camping on the foreshore. Please, help open the MP foreshore to tourism ASAP and help restore confidence to our region. Regards Rebecca

12.01.2022 VicParks has just received advice from government that communal toilets are allowed to open from Monday 1st June to service all guests in your park. The Depart...ment of Health and Human Services (DHHS) advises that floor markings must be used to promote the 1.5 metre social distancing requirements. All toilets must be in working condition with soap provided, and increased cleaning. VicParks can also confirm that communal facilities will remain open for people staying at your park under the reasons currently permitted.
