11.01.2022 The Australian Government has just announced that the Migration Amendment (Family Violence and Other Measures) Act 2018 would commence on 17 April 2019. This means that the approval of sponsorship before visa applications is necessary. Sponsorship application is not a visa application; therefore, the Visa Applicant would not be able to lodge a Partner visa and secure a bridging visa while wait for the sponsorship to be approved.
