12.01.2022 Hislops Honey started as a hobby providing sweet honey for our family, understanding the importance of bees in the food chain and helping to pollinate our garden. Bees are fascinating little invertebrates and Daryl finds it incredibly rewarding that production has grown over the past few years so we can now provide honey to you. Hislops Honey is natural, raw, local and made with love by happy bees. Raw honey is not treated in any way. It is taken from the hive in frames, sp...un with centrifugal force, and drained through a fine sieve to remove any wax particles. After that, we bottle up the honey. Our honey comes with the beautiful imperfections of anything that comes straight from nature. Raw honey will generally crystallise within a few months after being harvested from the hive. This has no impact on the product whatsoever, other than giving it a thicker texture. Raw honey also has a lot of health benefits, as it is high in antioxidants, making it great for people with a common cold or sore throat, and, when taken daily, can assist those suffering from bad hay fever. Many philosophers have stated that bees are the perfect living organisms only contributing to nature and not damaging it in any way. See more

Our bees have been busy over summer, and are about to go into their hives for the cooler months. ... We have extracted lots of yummy honey, and still have plenty available for sale.
