23.01.2022 The following message has been received from Gillian Kerr through the HMCCQ. Robbie Kerr was killed in a tragic crash whilst taking part in a HMCCQ Fraser Coast Area rally last Sunday week. If you can make it, please try to take part in the cavalcade and funeral to celebrate Robbie's life. Robbie’s funeral will be held on Friday the 7th of September @ 2 pm. A motorcycle cavalcade to raise awareness of motorcyclists vulnerability to vehicles will leave from Fraser Coast Cre...matorium and Bayside Memorial Gardens - Hervey Bay The service will be held at Life Church, 68 Gayndah Rd, Maryborough. In lieu of flowers we would like donations made on the day to help motorcyclists hurt by vehicles through no fault of their own. I am hoping to start a registered charity in Robbie’s name as soon as possible to promote this cause. Michael Tucker from Independent Riders will be organising the cavalcade. A wake to celebrate his life will follow for anybody that knew Robbie. Free camping will be available. See more

16.01.2022 The rally is getting close now. TIme to check over and tune up the bike.
15.01.2022 I have been in touch with a friend who has a role in organising the Buxton Car and Bike Show. He has confirmed that the show will go ahead regardless of the weather on Sunday.. Having said that, a look on the weather site would indicate that the heaviest rain will be tomorrow and should peter out a bit by Sunday. Dont forget that the meeting of the Childers Area will be held on site at the Show at 10am. Also, Mark suggests that you bring a bit of board to put under your stand as the ground is a bit soft as a result of the rain.
14.01.2022 Saturday afternoon ride done, a bit drizzley and quite fresh, but great company and followed by some nibblies and a bevvie before adjourning to the pub for a massive dinner. As I write this, some participants are still yabbering on in various camps. Great get together so far.
13.01.2022 After discussing with key organisers, I regret to announce that the Childers Area Rally scheduled for 6-7 June has been postponed indefinitely. Whilst the postponement is very unfortunate it is made with the following situation in mind:- -The recent announcements of various levels of Govt regarding recommendations of social distancing and isolation. -The announcement today regarding cessation of non essential travel -The Bundaberg Regional Council's very responsible decision... to not allow public gatherings at the venues for the foreseeable future. -The fact that many attendees at our rallies are firmly within the highest risk category regarding serious complications should they catch the virus. We will make alternative arrangements for a bigger and better rally when world circumstances permit. Thank you, Rowan- Secretary. See more
