24.01.2022 My dad got in to see this fight, Dad told me their was nothing better than a fight night with a full at the old Sydney Stadium On February 02 1946 Vic Patrick fought Tommy Burns for the Welterweight Championship of Australia, at 'The Old Tin Shed' - The Sydney Stadium in Rushcutters Bay. The place was sold-out - 14,000 spectators. Vic won a tough, see-sawing battle by KO in Rd 9.... 6 days later a Newsreel of the fight was shown at The Lyric Theatre, at 749 [George Street, Sydney](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Street,_Sydney), between Valentine Street and Ultimo Road. The Lyric's seating provided for 865 in the stalls, 400 in the dress circle and 650 in the gallery (1,915 viewers at once). It too sold out - such was the love and interest for Boxing in those days. 01.01.2022 WOW what a night The biggest & the best Karnage Ever . Hit Pit had 4 fighters on trained by Les Luxford. We got 2 Wins & a Draw First up was our youngest Hit Pit fighter ever. Eden Williams who at just 14 made her debut on Karnage coming away with a draw. Then our second female fighter Yuki hit the ring Winning in the second round after the fight was stopped due to the barrage of punches Yuki was landing on her Opponent. Harry Lincoln also climbed threw the ropes for the fi...rst time. In a tough fight Harry came a way with a win and I can tell will fast become a crowd Favourite with his boxing style. Last to fight was Mossy who on short notice took the fight showing tremendous heart and courage to lose on points with only a weeks training for this preparation. I am very proud of my team. Closing off 2020 our team record stands at 24 fights for only 4 loses. Time now to start thinking about Karang 7 in February. See you all back in the gym Monday. See more
