Do you talk to yourself with kind words? What is the tone of your voice? How does this make you feel? How do you make you feel? Being able to develop a great internal dialogue is quite a very good skill. There are people that are very good in using great tonality and kind/empowering words and there are people that are very good in using very unpleasant tonality and demotivating words, too. Hey, everything goes. NLP teaches us that people are not broken, they just need the right context where to use their skills and, knowing what you can do well and what you need to work on, is the core concept of Personal Power. Let’s have a look. If you are very good in using great tonality and highly compelling words, it is important you tell yourself very good things that will move you in the right direction to achieve your goals. But what to do if you are very good in demotivating? Well, first, know this: you can always learn to talk in a nicer way (you’ll be the person that is spending the most time with yourself, be kind). Second, who says that being demotivating is bad? How useful would it be for you, when getting ready to do something that you know being stupid, to be able to use this demotivational skill to get you to stop from doing it? How useful would it be to be so good in taking the fun out of what puts you in trouble? What about in getting your shitty habits to become more and more boring and unpleasant and well, Yaak? Meanwhile, all of a sudden, you start building more compelling, bigger, brighter and better pictures, easily, of how much better you would feel and look when getting closer to live the better life you want for yourself and the people close to you.
