25.01.2022 Do you see that tree over there... That tree is the reason you should book a celebrant who stands to the side... And it is the reason that every celebrant should stand to the side during your first kiss... Book a celebrant who cares as much about your photos as you do... Your celebrant,... 25.01.2022 " I would highly recommend Mel for your special day. She made such an effort making our wedding day memorable. Matt and I are so happy with how everything went and felt like it was the perfect day. Mel did an amazing job with story telling and truly captured our love. The thought and detail that went into the ceremony was great, and Mel made the process up to the big day so easy for us".... 24.01.2022 " Mel captured our story (and there was a lot of it, whole 18.5 years!) so perfectly, it was as if she'd known us the whole time. Her communication during the planning stages through to the ceremony was thorough and precise. If you're looking for a genuine down to earth celebrant look no further than Mel, you will not be disappointed. Once again thank you Mel for a truly magical day which was made even more special by having you as our celebrant." Mr and Mrs Sanchez Photos with thanks to: Matts Photography by Matt Streatfeild

19.01.2022 There are an infinite number of ways to approach writing your vows. Yet I often find that people over think them. They are simply two people who love each other deeply sharing some words from the heart. They are a mere moment in time, albeit an important one. While they should start your marriage off intentionally, they also could never truly capture or convey all the love shared between you both. As long as they feel and sound like you, they are a winner in my books. Have yo...Continue reading

18.01.2022 Mark and Amanda share one of those epic love stories that meant that their wedding ceremony pretty much wrote itself... But it was when I asked them when did you know the other was 'the one' and Amanda told me that her moment of knowing came a few weeks into dating when Mark popped a pimple on her back... It was then that she knew he was an absolute keeper! And the crowd cried with laughter... ... Your wedding ceremony should be about you! It should never be boring, dull or generic. Instead it should be a celebration of your journey to this amazing moment in time and it should absolutely feature your words weaved through your epic love story. A Hitched in the Hunter ceremony unashamedly celebrates all things you! 15.01.2022 " If you look up the origin of the saying ‘above and beyond’ I am sure Melanie’s picture is there. She was incredible in every step along the way. She had a genuine care and interest in our special day, she communicated with us throughout the planning, was easy to reach and ensured every detail was covered. Our ceremony was personalized, warm, romantic and we will be forever grateful". Mr & Mrs Weir Photos with thanks to: Lauren Anne Photography... 15.01.2022 " Mel was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend her, she was so easy to work with and made everything stress-free. The little script we were given as a keepsake of our ceremony was perfect and she spoke as if she has known us for years it was so personal and just beautiful. Thank you so much Mel for an amazing day!" Katie and Ben Photo with thanks to: @mattsphotography... Flowers:@mayflowers_vintage_florist See more

14.01.2022 This little celebrant gig has taken me to some truly incredible place where I have experienced the most incredible moments, but none more so than today... Today I had the absolute honour of witnessed S & S's Poruwa Ceremony (which was a mighty tough act to follow), before I got the opportunity to deliver their legally binding ceremony. It was everything I had ever imagined and so much more!... Alas the bride and groom are a little social media shy... So this is all I can share. But I know they will be enjoying the Fire Act and Drum Act late into the night. Your celebrant, Mel x

13.01.2022 Funny storyA couple of Sydney based lovers entrusted me to turn their wedding day vision into reality. As usual I arrived ridiculously early Along with their florist and musician, we set up their ceremony right at the very end of Jones Bay Wharf overlooking the Harbour Bridge, only to be told that we had to move No problem I am super flexible and always leave plenty of time for these sorts of things So, we set up again in another spot Mere moments before the ceremony wa...s to begin a boat owner approached me and said that he has just spotted the MASSIVE boat that usual docks in the spot we had just set up in front of With all the guests there and the bride due to imminently walk down the aisle we didn’t have the time to move again and so I hoped above all hope that they wouldn’t come into dock in the middle of their ceremony. I felt like I was holding my breath the whole time Our beautiful bride, Tash, entered and it was all sorts of magical. I had the absolute honour of sharing their epic love story. We laughed and cried and laughed again. And then we arrived at my favourite part of any wedding ceremony The Vows And as I watched on I could see the exact boat that docks in this spot come around the corner Vows shared I scrolled on through my script keen to get to the big money shots without a boat blocking the view Rings were exchanged and the kind of kiss that makes your tummy jump into your throat for a moment was exchange. They were married and it was all sorts of wonderful! One happy little celebrant, I started the long drive back to the Hunter. As I got about halfway home it dawned on me THEY HAD NOT SAID THEIR LEGAL VOWS Yep that’s right, this seasoned celebrant had f*ucked up and scrolled right on past them in my desperation The only thing there was to do was turn around and drive all the way back Sydney! Everyone is human Everyone f*cks up But I recommend booking a celebrant that would move heaven and earth to put it right. Plus, now they have a cool wedding story about getting married twice! And I have another lesson well and truly added to my lesson learnt list Never to be repeated! Photo with thanks to: McKay Photography

13.01.2022 I often get asked do you bring along the vows or do I have to? The answer is that the choice is yours. Some couples like to buy little booklets and write them in And some couples just want to rock up and have their vows passed to them at the right moment in the ceremony If the latter sounds more like your style, this is what you can expect on the day.... 13.01.2022 Because your wedding ceremony shouldn't be all serious... And neither should your celebrant... Your celebrant,... Mel x

12.01.2022 As a celebrant it is hugely important to me that your wedding ceremony, look, feels and sounds like you! After all it is a celebration of your love! 06.01.2022 " We truly can't recommend Mel high enough, she simply couldn't have been more fantastic! From the first unsure moments of getting in touch with her to the final I-DO's she was absolutely brilliant in every single way. One of our guests said it all in their comment: '....and your celebrant...wow. Just WOW!' We couldn't agree more <3 Mr and Mrs Peebles" Photo with thanks to: Sam Wyper Photography

04.01.2022 " We cannot thank Mel enough for our special day. Everything was so easy from our initial contact right up to the ceremony. We loved the questionnaires Mel gave to us as they brought back memories from our years together. On the day itself, we were a bit nervous but on meeting with Mel she immediately put us at ease before our ceremony. The ceremony was so special and personal, we will be forever grateful to Mel."
