20.01.2022 Meet Hive Activ's Diamond Fossils!! These girls are an absolute inspiration to not only us as trainers but to the rest of our clientele base also! They turn up and train together twice a week at our strength classes! They met at class and now make sure they stick together in class! ... Not only do they rip in and have a red hot crack, but they move some impressive weight too! We can’t thank you enough for showing our clientele what ageing gracefully really does look like! So good to see these girls get together and have a Christmas lunch outside of Hive! Be like the diamond Fossils people!!
20.01.2022 Happy New Year Hive Tribe! What a whirlwind 2020 was. Despite it all, there is so much to be grateful for, and even more to look forward to. In honour of all that has been and all that is to come, we wanted to reflect on some of the greatest challenges and greatest achievements that this past year brought us. ... _________________ Matt, Personal Trainer and Strength & Conditioning Coach at Hive Activ "2020, a year with its fair share of negativity, and yet it was a year that brought more personal growth than I ever would have imagined. One piece of advice that I received this year and that sat with me was to trust yourself and to give yourself permission to fail. Give yourself permission to reach for your personal goals and life aspirations, no matter how intimidating they may seem. Trusting in this advice is exactly what brought me to Luey and Sarah, and ultimately to the Hive Activ community. The value that this community and this opportunity has provided me is incredible, and I cannot state how grateful I am. Trusting this advice is also what lead me to the role of Harold Matthew’s strength and conditioning coach within the Newcastle Knights. This role was a massive step forward for my career, and I am thankful to Sam Kennedy for giving me this opportunity. All in all, 2020 was a great year, and I am excited to see how I can keep building upon this in 2021."

This consists of:... 1.9km swim 91km bike ride 21km run From injuries to dietary issues Leanne has faced her fair share of adversity. Nothing was going to stop her achieving what she set out for! Leanne strength trains with Hive team member and Strength and conditioning coach, Matt Tyson, in our Hive Activ performance studio twice per week. This has seen her strength and mobility improve whilst reducing her risk of injury She has also stuck to a rigorous running, cycling and swimming training schedule, gradually building up to the distance required. She proves determination and consistency is key to success! We are so happy for you and proud to have you in our Hive Activ family. We can’t wait to see what you do next!

08.01.2022 How we look running into the holiday season! Today was the official last day of Hive's 2020 timetable. We are very excited for the much needed time off that will be spent with our loved ones in the coming weeks, but we know we are going to miss being surrounded by our beautiful Hive family every day. ... This year offered a lot of difficult and unpredictable moments, but through all that, we came out stronger. We have always known we had something great here, but this year more than ever proved just how special this community is. 08.01.2022 Check out our own Sue Adams aka MUM smashing some deadies! Strength training is fantastic for a multitude of reasons! Some of my favourites are it’s ability to increase bone density and increase muscle mass! Considering as we age 2 natural processes are muscle atrophy (loss of muscle) and reduction in bone density (weaker more fragile bones)! It makes sense to STRENGTH TRAIN! This is Mums last set of the day, after a tough session and almost 6 weeks of a strength training protocol completed! 08.01.2022 Can say this boy @beerypapi got @coachmt_sandc hyped hitting a 147.5kg 1RM back squat when he was doubting himself the whole time.... it came up well Feel he could’ve gone 150kg but a PB is a PB and MORE importantly he says he feels better in his training for Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu!! 08.01.2022 We were a little naughty and had a couple of beers yesterday while butchering a bbq We got up and got into it! First surf in 6 weeks and then a 50 to 10 burner with Psycho Sars She quietly dominated me. All that online training paying off, check out those chicken kebabs! ... Here is the workout for you all to keep: - 60 incline push ups - 50 Burpees - 40 oblique hip dips (20 Each side) - 30 hollow hold pulses (start with 10 seconds hollow hold followed by immediate superset of 10 pulses, finished with 10 Second hold again) x 3 - 20 sprint star jumps - 10 burpees Fast, effective and feel a whole heap better! As a mum of 2 and a small business owner I completely understand how you can be time poor This is why I LOVE online training. Every morning at 6am I run a fitness class from our kitchen. The kids are either still in bed or safely occupied. This style of training allows flexibility so... you can fit it in your schedule Can you relate to this?
06.01.2022 **HERE IT IS** - 4 week challenge personal result! On Monday it’s been 4 weeks! I’m happy with my results 4.5kgs down and almost revived the 6 pack....... almost I would give myself a 7/10 for discipline. I definitely had a few too many at different Christmas celebrations, but I was very strict with food consumption and training! ... It really does not take a whole heap to change your body composition people! For me, it’s as follows: - lean balanced and colourful diet - being aware of total food consumption (not going back for 2nds and 3rds at dinner ) - staying clear of calorie dense food or treats (for me it’s chocolate and sugary treats) - being on top of my mental health (morning motivation and personal development work, cold showers, audios, meditation etc - training 4 days a week at least! - BEING HONEST WITH YOURSELF! In the new year we will be releasing a very exciting workshop that will help touch on some of this in further detail plus more. Also help set you up for the best year yet!
