03.01.2022 There are so many different types of cheong fun. @Audra Morrice grew up in Singapore eating two very distinct ones. The very Cantonese style you get when you go to yum cha with either char siew, prawns or beef. Or, the much firmer rolls that are cut up with a pair of scissors into bite sized pieces then doused in a red sriracha type chilli sauce and a thinned down hoisin sauce with loads of sesame seeds and a touch of oil. Those were clearly primary school memories. Today we are going to work on the basic cheong fun with a mushroom filling. Feel free to change up the filling. These are purely suggestions.
