25.01.2022 Coaches’ Association youngsters break records for Northern District CC. Lachlan Shaw scored his maiden First Grade century (107) against Hawkesbury in only his second Belvidere Cup appearance to break a 49-year-old record. At 17 years and 282 days, Shaw is the youngest batsman to reach triple figures in NDs' history, bettering the mark set by former Test opener Ian "Whiz" Davis in 1971, when he scored 121 as an 18-year-old.... In Second Grade, 17-year-old Corey Miller struck an astonishing 262 to go to number five on the list of all-time top scores in that grade's 125-year history. Corey’s huge score is the highest individual score in NDCC history, dating back to 1925-26. Lachy and Corey attended many HKHDCCA school holiday clinics and off-season development programs in their younger years, plus they played in the RTC and GHC fixtures, which are organised by the Coaches’ Association. They starred on the HKHDCCA / NDCC U/15 rep. tour to Barbados, West Indies, in July 2017. They both coach for HKHDCCA when their cricket and school commitments allow it. We congratulate Lachy and Corey on their incredible scores. Good luck with your HSC exams.
24.01.2022 Congratulations to our President, Bruce Wood, and Rookie Coach award winner, Dani Chivers.
24.01.2022 Under 15 cricket tour in 2021 The Coaches Association (HKHDCCA) partners with Northern District Cricket Club to conduct exciting U/15 cricket tours every two years. Previous successful tours took place in Sri Lanka in 2015 (http://bit.ly/SL-Report-2015); Barbados in 2017 (http://bit.ly/WI-Report-17); and India in 2019 (http://bit.ly/CA-India-Report). With uncertainty regarding international travel due to COVID-19, we have decided to tour within Australia next year.... We plan to send a strong U/15 representative team to participate in the International Cricket Academy League U/15 tournament https://www.internationalcricketacademyleague.com/ on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, in July 2021, which is being organised by Calypso Destinations. All matches will be shown live across the globe through PitchVision Sports Technology. The Coaches Association and Northern District CC will select a team of 13 players and 3 coaches / officials. More information will be released in due course advising how players can express their interest in being selected in this team, which will comprise U/15 and U/14 rep. players from the 2020-21 season. 23.01.2022 Here's an interesting profile on our President.
23.01.2022 Some photos from our junior cricket clinic at Normanhurst Oval on 16 January 2020. Unfortunately Day 2 was washed out on Friday, 17 January. Our Secretary has written to the parents of the registered players to outline the options - either attend a make-up day at next weeks clinic at MTO, or request a partial refund of fees. We thank everyone for their understanding and flexibility with this rained out day. We explored the possible hiring of several nearby indoor faciliti...es, however none were available. 23.01.2022 Some photos from our first clinic in January 2020 (the 52nd school holiday junior cricket clinic since our inception in 2010). Registrations are still open for our remaining two clinics at Normanhurst Oval (16-17 January), and MTO, Waitara (22-23 January).
22.01.2022 Coach Jayden Camp dared to ask the boys in his group whether they supported the Sydney Thunder or Sydney Sixers in the BBL - that brought out some passionate arguments! Our cricket clinic is going really well at Waitara with around 90 excited boys and girls, supported by 12 coaches.

14.01.2022 The Coaches Association thanks Parramatta Leagues Club for the ongoing successful partnership, which began in 2015. The generous sponsorship through the ClubGrants program will enable HKHDCCA to continue to provide a range of free or heavily-subsidised coaching and youth-development programs in north-western Sydney. We are delighted that Parra Leagues has been able to reopen its doors for business. Our committee is looking forward to having a meeting, plus dinner and drinks, at the club very soon.

06.01.2022 Congratulations to two of our regular coaches, Corey Miller and John Anderson, who opened the batting on Australia Day in the Northern District Cricket Club First Grade team against Sutherland, which included Shane Watson. Corey is a 17 year old, left-handed opening batsman who scored 52 runs today. He was a leading player on our U/15 tour to Barbados in 2017. John has been coaching for HKHDCCA since 2013, and he scored 64 in First Grade in the previous match against Randwick...-Petersham CC. Both of them coached at our MTO cricket clinics in January 2020. It is fantastic to see young local juniors progressing through the ranks to play First Grade together at NDCC. @ Mark Taylor Oval See more
