23.01.2022 In a year that much has changed, Exercise SINGAROO is steadfast, in its 25th year, demonstrating the importance and closeness of the Royal Australian Navy's relationship with Republic of Singapore Navy, as critical regional partners by geography and as strong friends. #AusNavy

22.01.2022 Thanks, Mate! USS ChungHoon conducts a replenishment-at-sea with Australian replenishment ship HMAS Sirius during RIMPAC 2020. The exercise is a unique traini...ng platform designed to enhance interoperability and strategic maritime partnerships. Ten nations, 22 ships, 1 submarine, and more than 5,300 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from August 17 to 31 at sea around the Hawaiian Islands.

21.01.2022 Sirius takes some time out of a busy schedule for respite and a homemade kite flying competition during our regional deployment. This was the winning kite from our Communicators! Hopefully more to come

16.01.2022 Another perspective

15.01.2022 HMAS Sirius (I) has achieved a career milestone less than a week from celebrating 14 years of service in the #AusNavy. The replenishment ship conducted its 700t...h replenishment at sea since commissioning on, September 16, 2006, refuelling HMAS Hobart III. The Royal Australian Navy is conducting a regional deployment across Southeast Asia during July to October 2020 with HMAS Hobart, HMAS Arunta II, HMAS Stuart III and HMAS Sirius. The deployment demonstrates Australia’s enduring commitment to the security and stability of the Indo-Pacific and to sustaining strong and positive Defence relationships with regional nations. All parts of the deployment are being conducted in accordance with COVID-19 safety measures. https://www.navy.gov.au/hmas-sirius

05.01.2022 Fantastic to present some awards and conduct a few promotions during recent period alongside in Pearl Harbor. CPOB Nicoll was awarded a Fleet Commander Silver Commendation for his 2019 efforts in the field of Shipborne Lifesaving and Survival equipment which resulted in approximately $1.2million of yearly savings for our Navy. POMT Braid’s perseverance and ingenuity in the 2019 repair to a defect to main engine earned him a Fleet Commander Bronze Commendation.... Both these commendations recognise two sailors living our Defence Value of Excellence and providing an example to us all Well Done ! SBLT Turner and ABMT Lesleighter both received their Australian Defence Medal recognising four years of service. Thank you to you, and your families. There were four promotions to Able Seaman; now ABBM Hardacre, ABBM Plummer, ABET Nickell and ABCIS Draper. Congratulations and this acknowledges what an important part of our team you all are. Finally there were four awards of Platform Endorsements to our Officers of the Watch; LEUT Bosch, LEUT Latus, SBLT Murray and ASLT Douglas. This is the result of many years of hard work, well done.
