25.01.2022 1. Stop the after dinner snacks for better sleep.. Eating before bed can disrupt your sleep. I always make sure that there is three hours between my last meal and bedtime to ensure that my food has gone through some of the digestive process. 2. Bloating, reflux and heartburn are not normal It often a sign that something isn't right within your digestive tract. Gaviscon or antacids might make the feeling disappear but it won't solve the problem and will lead to nutrient ...deficiencies. 3. Type 2 Diabetes doesn't happen overnight It is a slow progressive disease that is mainly caused by your lifestyle. If you want to reduce your progression or prevent the disease then look at your lifestyle. 4. Fat is your friend not your enemy. 20.01.2022 Throwback to yesterday it was about this time that I put this fantastic lamb shoulder on for dinner.. In an ideal world I would have has some rosemary to stick into the pockets but I am in lockdown #isolife.. Thanks to @goldenfleece.hotel for delivering this to me down here on the Mornington peninsula.. It was an outstanding piece of lamb that just fell off the bone.. this will feed my family of 4 for at least another meal... stay tuned for a leftover recreation with remaining lamb..

19.01.2022 Artificial Trans fats are formed during the process when hydrogen is added to the oil to assist in keeping it in a semi solid state at room temperature. It helps to give them a much longer shelf life. Still want to use a seed oil for you cooking?

17.01.2022 Seed oils are used in restaurants, fast food places, cakes/pastries and many foods to assist in prolonging the shelf life of foods and also because they wont alter the flavour of the product . If you look closely these oils will be in a lot of foods that you would pick up from the supermarket shelf.. Do you really know whats in the food you are eating? Often made from canola, corn, palm, soybean or sunflower oils , these oils are high in omega 6 AND ARE NOT HEALTHY 3. Read points 1 and 2 again

12.01.2022 But Canola Oil is healthy still right? Doesn't that contain omega 3? Canola Oil is from the seed of the canola plant this form of omega 3 is called alpha linolenic acid (ALA). We must convert ALA to its beneficial long chain form eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) before we can make use it. But our body actually doesnt have a great conversion rate of ALA to EPA/DHA and diets that are high in omega 6 further reduce this conversion.
