04.01.2022 Covid-19 HMCCQ Position and update. With the unprecedented conditions brought on by the outbreak of the Conaravirus = COVID-19, serious consideration, actions and changes are required for the ongoing health and longevity for HMCCQ members. It would be irresponsible of our committee to not take avoidance action and carefully monitor the changing situation. We need to be on the side of caution. THEREFORE; 1. Given the average age of our members and previous health ailments,... it places many of us in a high Risk category, very vulnerable and susceptible to this virus. 2. We need to put club activities on hold. 3. The AGM will not take place in Dalby on 21 March 2020. Management Meetings and the AGM will be conducted electronically till further notice. 4. The Club Champion and nominated Life member will be notified. 5. Recommend that ALL AREAS cease or postpone club activities till further notice. (This can be assessed and at the discretion of individual areas.) 6. Planning for the 50 years and expression of interest, will still need to make progress as per Dougs and Dess updates in the magazine and at their discretion. With hope and luck this worldly crisis will be controlled by September 2020. If this crisis cannot be made sterile within the next couple months, it may well become a way of life. No:1 priority is health and safety of our members. It is better to be safe. than sorry. See more

04.01.2022 Covid-19 HMCCQ Position and update from our President. TO ALL HMCCQ MEMBERS Having just watched the Prime Ministers press conference on Channel 9 it has become painfully obvious that HMCCQ has no choice other than to put our events program on hold for the indefinite future. The Prime Minister stated that ALL NON ESSENTIAL TRAVEL NEEDS TO CEASE at least for the next few months. He believes that many Australians are not taking the situation seriously. HMCCQ will not be bun...dled with other unconcerned people or groups. What the future holds is a big unknown. There is mention that State borders may be locked down. This occurred when Spanish Flu followed our troops home and the State borders were locked on 23 January 1919. The government is recognising the similarities between COVID-19 and the Spanish Flu human suffering and economic loss coupled with world shut down. In order to help protect our members and the wider community from this insidious virus, ALL HMCCQ EVENTS ARE TO CEASE FORTHWITH. This includes our 50 Year Celebration Rally. The Club Calendar of Events for 2020 is being removed from the Journal and the Website and a new calendar will be assembled when things get back to normal. I ask that Areas also cancel your monthly face-to-face meetings and regular local rides until further notice. Realistically, the best advice is to stay home unless you have to go out. You may think that this is going further than we need to, but keep in mind our age demographic. Youll feel very differently should any of our members succumb to the virus. I trust and pray that this doesnt happen. Best wishes to all members. Regards Ken BUTLER President See more

01.01.2022 It is with heavy hearts that we are informed of the passing of Harold Daw, one of our Life Members Harold passed away peacefully yesterday 22/12/2019. Harold has been a long time standing member for over 30+ years of the club and has been attending meeting up to Oct 2019. Harold started our weekly Wed and Sun Harrys Hero Social rides, 30 odd years ago for the members to catch outside of the regular meetings. These rides are still going and are well attended to this day. Our... condolences go out to Harolds wife Joan, family and friends. A true gentleman, passionate about motorcycling and the Club.
