05.01.2022 Friendly and diverse team environment Part-time (20-50 hours per fortnight available) Minimum qualification of Certificate III in Disability support , RN (Divis...ion 2), or equivalent pay rates $23-$30 About the role The Support Worker team is made up of like minded individuals who are passionate about providing vital services to individuals with in the local Community which enables them to stay in their own homes and continue to live their best lives. The purpose of this position is to provide practical personal care and domestic assistance in the homes of people with disabilities and families in crisis, in accordance with the assessed care needs and in a manner which promotes the independence and dignity of clients and their families. Key responsibilities of this position include: Providing Personal Care ( showering/bathing, shaving, oral care ,toileting ) Use mobility equipment , Hoists, Standing Aids ,Wheelchairs Shower Chairs Assist Participants to fulfil Activities of Daily Living Meal Preparation , Domestic Assistance Support Participants when accessing the Community Assistance with Medication and/or Health Equipment Assist with Passive Exercise Routine Shopping Social Support Respecting the Participants Confidentiality at all times Following Participants Routines Reporting and Recording as per Company Policy Adhering to Company Polices and Procedures. Essential Requirements Experience in the Disability Sector Experience in Bowel Care Experience in Manual Handling This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is caring, friendly, and is enthusiastic about working with people with disabilities. With excellent communication and time management skills, your ability to adapt to a diverse range of customers and their needs is second to none. To be considered for this role, you will have: Minimum 6-12 months experience in a disability support worker role Reasonable level of fitness Valid NSW Drivers licence and reliable roadworthy motor vehicle Own Vehicle with full Comprehensive Insurance.
