21.01.2022 Tasmanian Minister for Health, Sarah Courtney, thanks our amazing staff at Launceston Pathology for the help they gave to collect almost 500 samples across 3 North West Residential Aged Care Facilities in a single day. Also thanking the laboratory staff of the Royal Hobart Hospital for their ongoing work. In addition, Minister Courtney announced the partnership between the Federal and Tasmanian Governments and Sonic Healthcare, incorporating Hobart, Launceston and North West Pathology, to substantially expand testing capacity for COVID-19.

It was a rewarding and insightful few days" Lynda Lonergan said. Sonic Healthcare partners with the Clontarf Foundation in Australia that works with Indigenous boys and young men to improve their education, self-esteem and life skills to allow them to participate more fully in society. The Catalyst Program is supported by Sonic Healthcare staff across the world, including a team of healthcare professionals who visit the projects at least once a year for a number of weeks at a time.
