21.01.2022 Changes to Billing which will affect ANU Students Over the next month, some of our GP registrars will be on holiday. Dr Yew Choy Cheong will also charge a concession fee for consultations with ANU students from 1st July. This means that ANU students will pay $70 for a standard consultation for which there is a Medicare rebate of $38.20. Your out of pocket cost will be $31.80 per 15 minute appointment and $56.05 for a half an hour appointment. STI Screenings with our Sexual H...ealth Nurse will still continue to be bulk billed. This means that there will be fewer bulk-billing appointments available for ANU students at Hobart place General Practice from July 2019. Our other senior doctors also charge a concession fee for consultations with ANU students. We apologise for the inconvenience it will cause you. We know that some ANU students have complained about our duty of care to provide bulk-billed consultations. We would just like to make the point that we don’t get any funding from the ANU. Your University has an arrangement with the ANU Medical Centre run by the National Health Coop to provide free medical care for ANU students. If you are having trouble getting timely, accessible and affordable care, I suggest you discuss this issue with your Student Union. Dr Tuck Meng Soo Practice Principal Hobart Place General Practice
