From Ghost Tours and Gallows Walks, to Paranormal Investigations, and our daily guided experience that showcases the site, and the world-class convict film, 'Pandemonium'. All experiences are lead by passionate and knowledgeable guides. We are open and look forward to sharing with you the incredible history of this internationally significant convict site located right in the heart of Hobart CBD!

After much consideration, The Board of the National Trust Tasmania has made the decision to close the following properties to the public as of Saturday 21st March 2020: Clarendon Estate, The Australian Fly Fishing Museum, Franklin House, Home Hill, Latrobe Courthouse Museum, Launceston Synagogue, Mt Lyell Mine Manager’s Offices, Oak Lodge, Penitentiary... 18.01.2022 Thank you so much to everyone who came to the launch of our exhibition yesterday! You can now visit the special exhibition between 10am and 2pm Tuesday to Sunday for $5, or included when you join us for a tour. This Exhibition has been organised by the AHRC Digital Panopticon, the University of Liverpool, Face Lab, Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Tasmania and National Trust Tasmania. ... Funded by AHRC as part of their Digital Transformation programme in 2014 the project explores the lives of 90,000 men and women sentenced at the Old Bailey between 1750 and 1925.
