23.01.2022 Thank you to this gorgeous patient who is in his 90's that sends us flowers every time he visits the practice. Life has so much beauty in it, every patient has a story and to be part of this community is truly a gift.

22.01.2022 Time for celebrations at HFD once again!!! These 3 gorgeous souls have completed their Cert IV in dental assisting (radiography). So proud of them as its a big commitment especially working full time as well as studying. Well done Lou, Gagan and Megs!

22.01.2022 Our cups are filled with gratitude! One of our gorgeous patients has handed down some of her beloved Enid Blyton books(some which are first editions) to Dr. Jacques' daughter Minette, as she heard Minette loves Enid Blyton. You think as a health care provider you only take care of your patients, but the truth is, they most definitely take care of you as well.

19.01.2022 Today we are celebrating our 4th anniversary as Hobart Family Dental. What a joyride it has been. Thank you to everyone that has made this business a reality for us. Firstly the amazing people we work with everyday that is more like family than colleagues to us, it is such a joy to have you all in our lives and then our amazing patients that has been with us and chose to support us through the years. Thank you to everyone, we count our blessings every single day. May we have many more!!!

18.01.2022 We hope everyone had a lovely long weekend. Dr. Jacques loves baking as you all know, and decided it's time for a treat for the staff again. Some Custard Yo-Yos with roasted rhubarb icing to kick off the short week.

16.01.2022 We had our Christmas lunch at the Salmon Ponds on Saturday. It was just a perfect day and the kids had so much fun. We celebrated 2020 with its ups and downs and we came out the other end, stronger and more united than ever. As we all know, family is the most important after all...........!

16.01.2022 Today is a very special day at HFD. Firstly we are celebrating Lisa's birthday which is on Friday. Secondly we are celebrating that Gagan qualifies to apply for her permanent residency. You can feel the energy and excitement in the practice, Lisa we love you and you are so much more than a colleague. Thank you for being so amazing and for all your support. Happy Birthday dear Lisa. Gagan, we are so excited for you and your family. It has been a long journey, with hardships leaving family behind to ensure a better future for your own. You are a strong, inspiring woman with drive and amazing work ethic. A loving wife and mother. We love you Gagan, thank you for your amazing butter chicken, good laughs and being part of our team. Congratulations once again.

This is her first Bday with us, and what a pleasure it has been having her. Ella, happy birthday, we love having you and you are one amazing lady. May we celebrate many more......!

11.01.2022 Supported my friend to raise funds for gynaecological cancer and she managed to raise almost $3000. Ran 28.71Km's from the practice up to the Kunyani summit and back down. 1287m of elevation in just under 4 hours. What an adventure, it was snowing on at the summit with gusts but all for a very good cause. Proud of everyone who finished today. We are pretty hardcore;)

09.01.2022 We are very sad to say goodbye to a gorgeous family that Dr. Jacques has been seeing for a long time. In saying so, we are also very excited for their endeavours ahead. This beautiful picture was drawn by their daughter Molly and a letter from the family. Looking forward to hearing from your adventures overseas.

07.01.2022 And so it happens again, our gorgeous 93 year old patient visited us again and look what arrived the next day. He is such an adorable soul.......! And a bonus that I got to take these home for the weekend.

06.01.2022 Today I had the best birthday celebrating it with my gorgeous family. We visited Mt. Field National Park, enjoying some of Tassie's natural beauty and really enjoyed the 10km walk with the fam.

05.01.2022 Dr. John and I did the Tolosa Trial Half Marathon this morning. This was my first trail half marathon and I thoroughly enjoyed it. John did beat me by 10 min, but we both still had a great time of 2 hours 16min and 2 hours 26min for the 21km's (and 737m of elevation). Well done John, was great to have you there for good advice and encouragement.

03.01.2022 Jacques and I had a day off together on Friday and enjoyed the day mountain biking around Mt. Wellington. We just realised again how beautiful this state is and we are so grateful that we can enjoy it again.

03.01.2022 Good news at Hobart Family Dental!!! We are back on level 2 restrictions which means we can perform most dental procedures and in this way look after the community in the best way possible. Firstly, it is still our responsibility to keep you, our patient, safe and ensure that we keep our team safe as well. We still have additional infection contol precautions in place to minimize the risk in our practice as outlined in previous posts.... For those patients that we had to cancel, we will be in contact as soon as possible, feel free to call the practice to book in your appointment or you can book it online at your own convenience. 01.01.2022 Look at this amazing photo of our building in the 1950's. This used to be the Tepid Baths back in the day. We have heard stories from patients from how cold the water use to be and all those "not so enjoyable" swimming lessons. Luckily all experiences in this building now are positive:) Thank you for the photo Kim.

Personally I missed: My chats with Meg and Lou on reception, the jokes between myself, Fiona and Gagan. The advice in regards to my running from John and sharing the joy with Lisa about how we love to clean and tidy and declutter. The team is back, we are smiling all the way........!!!

01.01.2022 Our gorgeous Ella has now been with HFD for 5 months and has decided to start her CertIII in dental assisting. She has been amazing through one of the most uncertain times during COVID-19 at HFD and has shown her amazing strength, determination and support. Love having you Ella, and so excited for you to start this journey of life in the world of dentistry.
