25.01.2022 The end of our coaching session with our great friend and mentor, the fabulous Lynda Keever. Polishing up our competition package for.....well, we are not quite sure when we'll get to strut this stuff on a stage, but when we do it's going to be AMAZING. Thanks lovely Lynda.
24.01.2022 Another "band camp" done and dusted. Much singing, learning, eating and laughing. Thanks to the wonderful Traci Voss for joining us for the weekend, as well as our own fabulous Jenni P. We will be working hard to cement all those lessons, and forge ahead towards another exciting regional competition in May.
24.01.2022 It was a long time in the making, but we finally managed our first public performance for 2020. Our "Christmas A-fair" was a COVID safe, small gathering of members, family and friends. With food, song, Xmas games, quizzes and all sorts of crafts and goodies for sale, it was a very special night. Many small ensemble performances, with a few new groups debuting. It was also a first performance for several new chorus members. A wonderful feeling in the room, such a great early Xmas treat.
23.01.2022 Our newest recruit Mary, with lead section coordinator, Jenny and director, Jenni. Well done on passing your audition Mary, and welcome to our chorus.
23.01.2022 Tonight's the night, 7pm on the Marketplace Stage, near the main entrance to the wharf. Forecast 40 degrees today, so we will be working hard to entertain you. Fortunately, cooling beverages are available in abundance for all.
22.01.2022 Several HHC members took the chance recently to participate in this Australia wide virtual choir project. This song was first performed 20 years ago at the Sydney Olympic Opening Ceremony. It really speaks of the beauty and spirit of this amazing land we share. Enjoy.
21.01.2022 Its nearly Father's Day. Perfect time to pop down to Bunnings for some shopping, and to grab a delicious sausage sanga. We'll be here all day serving up your favourite weekend treat!
21.01.2022 A memorable Zoom rehearsal tonight, as we celebrated with a theme of Purple & Pearls. Our pearl theme, as we acknowledge the 30th Anniversary of Sweet Adelines Australia; and purple to remember and celebrate the contribution to our chorus of our dear friend and mentor, Lindsey Dyer. With colourful costumes, themed warm ups, a quiz, and a viewing of last year's Region 34 champion quartet performance from Enchant Quartet. It was a wonderful celebration of all that we love and share in our chorus family.
20.01.2022 CANCELLATION OF TONIGHT'S PERFORMANCE Unfortunately due to the rough weather the Taste is shutting down early this afternoon, so our performance has been cancelled. We'll keep you posted about upcoming performances in the New Year.
20.01.2022 We are on tonight 6pm at the Taste, and the weather is looking good! See you there.
19.01.2022 Well, this is a memorable way to be welcomed to Sweet Adelines, by a 3 time queen. Welcome to our newest bass, Julia, who passed her audition recently. Pictured here Kim Vaughn (SAI Legend), Helen (Bass Section Leader), Julia and Jenni (Director). Welcome to the sisterhood.

17.01.2022 End of an era last night as we farewelled 22 year member, former director and all around legend of our chorus, Sandra Rosan. A final performance of Bye, Bye Blues with her quartet, Fine-Tuned, was a fitting swansong. Good bye and good luck with the big move, Sandra. Come visit anytime.
17.01.2022 Some of our small ensembles singing last night at the Hobart premiere of the new movie, Military Wives. A feel good story about women bonding through singing. Definitely one we can relate to.
16.01.2022 Coaching tonight with a legend of Sweet Adelines, Kim Vaughn. Wonderful advice on pulling together our unit sound, sprinkled with lots of singing wisdom, and snippets of humour. What a thrill for us to be spending some time with Kim.
15.01.2022 Celebrating 75 years of Sweet Adelines AND Barbershop Music Appreciation Day in classic style during tonight's Zoom rehearsal.
08.01.2022 Another jam packed rehearsal night with a Pyjama Party theme. Teddies and other fluffies required for our warm ups. Some topical, if slightly risque vocal warm ups and a surprise T-shirt lurking under someone's PJs. A fun night had by all.
08.01.2022 Some action shots from yesterday's Taste of Tasmania gig. It was a great crowd, who really engaged with our performance, and didn't we have fun !
07.01.2022 Music and management teams at the end of three and a half hours of strategising and planning. Exciting ideas coming for 2021.
06.01.2022 Road testing Zoom before our AGM on Monday with a social catch up. It's amazing how we are all finding new ways to engage with each other in these crazy times.
06.01.2022 We are women, hear us sing! On this Australia Day 2020, here’s another anthem that makes us proud to be Australian, a specially commissioned four-part harmony arrangement of Helen Reddy’s iconic I Am Woman. If you’d like to find out more about singing with Hobart Harmony Chorus and Sweet Adelines Australia, message us here and we’ll tell you how. Look for an iconic view of our mountain around the 1:30 minute mark in the video.
05.01.2022 And while at camp, we were able to welcome our newest member, Katie, who recently passed her audition and has joined the baris. Congrats on joining our crazy family.
