23.01.2022 We got this treat in the mail from one of the Hobart Human Library 'books' and multi-talented person, Michaela. Her art was chosen for the wonderful Artelier Tasmania "All Emotions Allowed Here" zine which captured the artistic responses of 13 young Tasmanians to the year 2020. We have loved reading through our copy - thank you Michaela! You can purchase this zine through the Artelier Tasmania website. [Image Descriptions: image one shows the front cover of a small book. The cover image is a sketch of a kitchen scene in black pen with green accents. A cat dozes on the kitchen floor. Image two shows a spread of the book. The left hand side has a drawing of a face with flowers. The right hand side is text.]

19.01.2022 Read this powerful article by Paul Pritchard, one of the amazing human "books" who are delivering 20 human library workshops to over 950 staff and students in the next few weeks! Schools participating include Rose Bay High School, Woodbridge School, Kingston High School Tasmania, New Town High School and Huonville High School. It's a massive movement challenging stereotypes, building empathy and saying no to bullying and discrimination. #socialjustice #discrimination #bullying #diversity #empathy #education

06.01.2022 Acceptance is an important part of Sam Horton’s story. It’s not just something he hopes people will be more open to upon hearing his story, it’s also the reason he’s able to stand up in front of an audience at all. Sam is a 20 year old film-maker, university student and Dr Seuss fan. He also happens to have autism. Sam also participated in a record 32 Hobart Human Library workshops this year!
