25.01.2022 Todays Netball Cancelled. We regret that all netball games today, indoor and outdoor, are now cancelled due to a severe weather warning.

24.01.2022 11 of our Junior Umpire Development group attended a training session last night run by John Fox and James Adams, where they got to practice applying the obstruction rule in real-life situations, and cover the less well known parts of the rule. Lots was learned, and we looking forward to seeing this group continue to grow across the year.

19.01.2022 Congratulations to Kenita Aitken from St.LukesHealth Karana, who was awarded a B Badge tonight umpiring the Premier League draw between Cripps Waratah and Kingston. Kenita was in our 2018 JUD group, and has continued to improve and impress. She brought her no-fuss, elegant style to the game today and impressed the panel. We look forward to watching her grow as she joins our senior ranks.

18.01.2022 Congratulations to our three teams who participated in the NTNA Carnival today. A big thank you to our coaches, managers & players who represented their association with pride. Your hard work is very much appreciated! Many thanks to our ‘Team White’ Cara Berry, Nicola Pace & a special thanks to Ellie Doyle & Lisa Cordwell stepping in at late notice to support our 11/u Gold team. ... Cara Berry being invited to umpire an independent GF match for 12/u also, well done Cara. 11/u Gold Grand Final winners Coached by Rochana Gordon Well done team! 12/u Gold went down by only 1 goal in the Prelim, a valiant effort by this very exciting team coached by Sonja Fletcher. Our players showed their competitiveness all day, well done to Coach’s Marissa Brown & Norm Dennis. Thank you to our very supportive families who travelled up & cheered our players on. A rest now before resuming training ready for the next statewide junior carnival at Kingborough. It was very exciting seeing our juniors enjoying their carnival experience... Carol-Anne Eaton

17.01.2022 I'm hoping it wasn't a netball person that did this damage to our downstairs toilets. Please treat our centre with respect. Do not swing on the toilet doors, do not climb over the cubical walls. This is not the first time, but I hope it will be the last. If you know anything about this please let the office know.

16.01.2022 Registrations are now open for STiNgAs 2021. Selections for all squads will be held on Wednesday 10th February 2021, 6pm 8pm. To register your interest please follow this link - ... https://stna.org.au/stinga-player-registration/

16.01.2022 In the result of a draw during the Winter Roster Semi Finals, teams will swap ends and play will continue until a team is 2 goals up.

16.01.2022 The schedule for grand finals is now available at https://stna.org.au/2020-finals-schedule/ HI Everyone Firstly can I please ask you to remind your teams that play on Court 5 and Court 6 that the maximum number is 25 per team (because of social distancing) for next week and for semi finals.... Grand Finals will be a little different because we can increase numbers as we will be using only one court in each stadium and games will also be at Moonah. At the end of each GF there will be a very quick presentation of medallions and a team photo before teams have to exit. Because of two timeslots when all courts will be utilised we have to manage a lot of people in and out of the Centre. Please talk to your coaches so they understand just how many can be at a court as it is essential that all our good work to date is not jeopardised on GF day as it could impact on Spring and other rosters if we are checked on. All games therefore for Grand finals, except for 11's - will be a total of 50 per team (this does allow for four per player). 11's will stay capped at 35 per team. Wednesday night - Premier League night willl be 100 per team in Stadium One but Stadium Two will be 50 per team. I sincerely hope you can encourage your teams to respect these numbers. Warm regards Glynis

14.01.2022 Dear Netball Members Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and all the best for 2021. Hopefully after this very unusual year our Winter Roster will start as planned next year. However, there may still be some restrictions which we will have to work around if they eventuate. One of the positives for next season will be the removal of the gate entry and though extra has been added to each player’s fees it means you can bring your families and can come along more than once duri...ng the week without any extra cost. A reminder that the AGM will be on February 22nd and there are some vacancies on the Board and some positions up for both Board and NMC. (two year terms) If you feel you could contribute to the Association by nominating please do so as it would be wonderful to have some new faces sharing in the running of our wonderful Association. Nominations will be called for in January but if you are interested and wish to call me please do so. Enjoy the break and let’s all look forward to a great 2021. Glynis STNA President

12.01.2022 Even in this shortened season, we're still able to celebrate achievements by our members - in this case, umpires. Cara Berry (Kilburn) and Maddy Gorenc (Palena) were awarded C Badges on 2nd Grade this afternoon. Maddy was in the 2018 JUD program, and after having a year off in 2019, becomes the 8th member of her cohort to achieve the badge. Cara was in last year's badging program and has had to juggle umpiring with her commitments as a State gymnast. Both have been regulars i...n our Winter Roster, Spring rosters and supporting the Association at Carnivals. Congratulations girls! See more

11.01.2022 While Round 4 had a cold and wet Saturday, we got almost all the games completed. In the Elise Archer Club Championship, it was HTC Friends that took the 10 points, winning 80% of their games and keeping them in third place overall and within sniffing distance of the top two. Bendigo Bank South East Suns came second, which allowed them to slightly increase their lead over Cripps Waratah who placed third for the week. Priceline Pharmacy Kingston Blues, Kingborough Tigers and T...assal Huon Valley rounded out the remaining mulitple points. 08.01.2022 While it's cold and occasionally raining lightly, there are no cancellations. We won't be publishing further updates today.

08.01.2022 As we head towards the end of the most unusual netball season we are likely to experience I would like to thank everyone for the way you have participated. Whilst we may not have agreed with all the restrictions that were imposed to ensure netball continued we had to observe the rules to avoid the possibility of a fine or being shut down, and we have done that thanks to the cooperation of most. If you’re not playing in a final this week hopefully you have enjoyed the short s...eason and will be back next year in what we hope will be far better circumstances. At this stage I would like to thank our General Manager, Phil Stoneman, for all he has done in very difficult circumstances, to ensure we have a competition. Thank you also to the other members of the Office team who always do things with a smile. Thank you to all the Clubs who have done duty as Competition Managers each week to ensure we all comply with rules, and the members of the Board and NMC who have done duty each week. Particular mention to our newest Board member, Lauren Cashinella, who has been duty person every Wednesday and Thursday night a wonderful effort. Thank you also to AYC for again offering the use of the Bayswater Road courts. During the season we said farewell to Jodi and Joel of Relish Catering who have looked after us so well for many years and welcomed our new canteen owners, Iain and Barbara Grealish of Olive Tree Catering. Thank you to our three Netball Convenors Roster, Narelle Monks, Coaching, Carol-Anne Eaton and Umpiring, Jessey Dillon who have done an amazing job in very difficult times. Congratulations to the four young umpires who achieved their C Badge accreditation in a very short season we are very proud of you all. These umpires were Lari Warnes, Cara Berry, Sam Tylutki and Madison Gorenc. Congratulations to those teams who are playing in finals and whilst we haven’t the time between games to have the normal presentations and ceremony we will still award medallions and have team photos taken. I look forward to a ‘normal’ season in 2021 but it was great we could at least play netball this year. Glynis Devereux STNA President
