It was great to see so many new faces today Congratulations to the 8 parkrunners who achieved new PB’s. Thanks to our volunteers who made todays event possible. 17.01.2022 Hello to our lovely Hobart parkrun family. Today is the 6th anniversary of our beautiful parkrun Unfortunately due to Covid-19 restrictions, we couldn't all get together to celebrate, so I'm sharing a few photos from our celebrations last year!! I hope they bring a smile to your face, and remind you of the joy parkrun brings us all :) ... We hope that you and your family are keeping safe and well through these trying times. parkrun are continually providing everyone with updates, so if you haven't signed up for the weekly newsletter, I recommend that you do, so you can stay informed. It's a challenging time at the moment, and we will continue to be guided by Government regulations. We hope that we can see you all back together, sooner rather than later, but it can only happen when we all can be safe Kellie (ED).

13.01.2022 Due to circumstances beyond our control parkrun Australia have directed that all Australian parkruns are to be cancelled until the end of March.

13.01.2022 Hobart parkrun will remain closed until mid-late January 2021. Risdon Brook park experienced substantial storm damage through Winter. TasWater are working very hard repairing the damage, and are also upgrading and revitalising areas within the park including new drinking fountains, bbq's, and a new selfie frame. Hobart parkrun also has some exciting news to share - which we will be revealed when we announce our recommencement date.... We will post here any updates, as and when we receive them, so please like our page to stay up to date with news on a confirmed resumption date. Stay safe, and have fun touristing to other beautiful parkruns.

09.01.2022 Great news that parkrun events will be restarting in Tasmania in a couple of weeks Unfortunately Risdon Brook Dam is closed due to storm damage so no Hobart parkrun yet. A good chance for some parkrun tourism for our regulars.

09.01.2022 Well done to the 63 people who braved the wind today, and had to deal with the sandblasting at the finish line! It was a great day with Chris Sullivan both completing his 100th parkrun, and finishing in first position Well done Chris! We also had a danger noodle sighting despite the wind A HUGE thank you to all our volunteers today - it was a tough gig for everyone donning the orange vest today with some intense wind to deal with, so a massive thank you!
