18.01.2022 Alright folks... this is what you've been waiting for: over 60 new corals and inverts, and plenty of live rock for those of you that have been waiting so long to start your reefscapes! The last few months have been very difficult trying to ship live animals! The lack of flights coming into Tassie has meant that our suppliers have no way to get our orders here without dangerous delays, and this has been a significant blow to all of us. With a few flights starting up again we are feeling more optimistic about our chances of restocking in future. Thanks to everybody for your patience!

17.01.2022 We're super excited to now be stocking Waterbox aquariums. Suitable for reef or fresh, the quality of these has to be seen to be believed! Also new in this week is Aquaforest Reef Salt, a premium salt mix that many of you have been asking for. We can't wait to try it out in our displays! Lastly, we couldn't resist giving you a peak at our new range of aquascaping stones. We have three new varieties, including some very rare extra large sizes, like this beautiful Black Seiryu Stay tuned for a new display in store featuring one of them! (as soon as we work out which one we like the best )

17.01.2022 We have been fielding a lot of calls and messages lately regarding our status in the current crisis. We would like to assure you all that we remain open with normal trading hours. In the event of more retail closures we are still considered an essential business and so will continue as long as we are able. We are working hard at getting orders done for all animal accessories/food however fish orders are a bit harder as they all come by plane. We will do what we can . We hav...e implemented extra cleaning of the store areas during the day, regularly wiping eftpos, computers, counters as well as all glass cage/aquarium fronts. We ask for your assistance by adhering to the 1.5m distance whilst in store, and please try to not touch glass fronts of animal cages/tanks and where possible pay with card. Lastly we wish to thank you all for your continued support!! As a small business we rely on you to keep us open and its wonderful to still be seeing all the regular faces coming in everyday. 07.01.2022 These tiny fish from Africa are famous for breeding inside old snail shells. The males go to great lengths to find the right shell and protect the females they convince to live inside - even picking them up and stealing them from each other!

05.01.2022 Marine fish order incoming! So we are going to try something different. We are going to take pre-orders from one of our suppliers to arrive next week. We dont normally do this, but it is an attempt to provide you guys with the fish you have been asking for during an uncertain time for us. We will also be able to provide local delivery to those staying home, but if you do want to collect your fish in person, the process will be much shorter and safer this way. Take a look at... the list below, and get in touch if there is anything you want. We will require pre-payment over the phone or direct deposit. The fish will be acclimated by us and repacked once we are confident in their condition, so they will be the same high quality we always provide. 03.01.2022 The best part of our day is getting to interact with critters like this Redline Cleaner Shrimp. Cleaner shrimps have an amazing strategy to avoid being eaten on the reef: when a large predator shows up, they offer a full massage and exfoliation service! This relationship is a great example of symbiosis. The fish, often covered in parasites, gets these removed for free, and in exchange the shrimp has a protected position in the community as a cleaning station, often with clients lining up every morning for their turn! This shrimp offers to clean us without fail, even removing a splinter from my finger once!
