20.01.2022 Today we dropped off our bio cups from the drink stations back to Stella and Deb from Abel Pakk in Glenorchy. They’re a local business who use plant based materials to make bio cups and all the used cups get composted. Thanks also to Juicy Isle for providing the delicious Hartz water and South Hobart FC for their volunteers to manage the drink stations. An A-team combo all around! #RunTheBridge
20.01.2022 RECORD SETTING ROBINSON RETURNS: Last year Brett Robinson smashed our course record, running 28:30 for the City of Hobart 10km. On Sunday he ran the fastest 1/2 marathon EVER by an Aussie, clocking 59:57. Our 2021 event weekend (Feb 27/28) meant we were sharing Princes Wharf 1 with West Moonah Community House and so we’ve struck up a partnership. That means our bib pick up process will now occur at PW1 in conjunction with their expo. It will be awesome for participants to see all the cool exhibitors and to support this great community event. 08.01.2022 Overnight was huge for Oceania's women distance runners. At the World Athletics Championships in Doha, 2 Aussie's and a Kiwi ran PB's in the 10,000m. All three have raced with us in recent years. In boiling hot temperatures at the world final, they produced; 12th - Camille Buscomb (NZ) 31:13 (PB) 13th - Ellie Pashley (Aus) 31:18 (PB) 14th - Sinead Diver (Aus) 31:25 (PB)... Ellie and Sinead also went number 4 and 5 on the all-time Australian list. Looking forward to welcoming them back to see if they can add our race to their trophy cabinet! See more
