22.01.2022 It is the silly season right Merry Christmas & a happy new year to all of our past/present and future patients. 15.01.2022 This week is National Cervical Cancer Awareness Week. This years theme is Time to Catch Up. Is it time for you to catch up on your cervical screening? ... This year, some Australians have fallen behind in their screening due to COVID-19 or other reasons. We need to stay up to date & encourage our loved ones to book in! Are you aged 25+ and not had screening done? Have you had screening done since the process changed in Dec 2017? Contact your GP or Gynaecologist to make sure you are up to date!

13.01.2022 Our rooms are now closed until Monday at 8.30am. During this time we ask that our obstetric patients contact their chosen hospital Maternity Ward with any pregnancy or birthing related concerns and our gynaecology patients attend Hobart Private, Calvary or Royal Hobart Hospital for any emergencies. Hobart Private Maternity - 6214 3383 Calvary Hospital Maternity - 6278 5328... We hope you have a safe and happy weekend!

10.01.2022 ******** IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SOME PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE PROVIDERS ********* Five of the smaller private health insurance funds in Australia have ...had negotiations break down with Healthscope private hospitals (e.g. Hobart Private Hospital). These include.... - Australian Unity (1300 657 973) - Teachers Health Fund (1300 727 538) - CUA Health (1300 499 260) - Reserve Bank Health Society (1800 027 299) - CBHS Corporate Health (1300 586 462) - CBHS Health Fund (1300 136 796) This means that if you are not booked into your Healthscope Hospital by 8th June 2020 then you will have a gap fee to pay for admission to the hospital. The amount of the gap fee is yet to be determined. If you are booked in as a maternity patient but your baby is not due to deliver until AFTER 8th June - don't worry - you will still be covered. If you are booked in as a non-maternity patient with all paperwork submitted to the hospital prior to 8th June 2020 then you will also be covered IF your surgery is performed within 6 months after the contract has ceased. If you have further questions about this issue then please contact your health fund on the numbers above OR alternatively ring my rooms (03 62 200 600) to make an appointment to discuss further. Information from Healthscope with regards to this issue can be found on this link. http://www.healthscope.com.au//changes-insurance-fund-cont
