25.01.2022 The plan. At this stage, it shall be business as usual for the rest of this week (10am-3pm Wed-Sat). After this, things are uncertain. I may open Wed 12th as usual, but the shop shall likely be closed for several weeks after then. This has nothing to do with the current state restrictions or virus, which currently don't require me to close the shop.... However the shop is likely to be closed for at least one week, maybe more. In any case, I'll most likely still be back in the shop for mail orders etc. Just may not be opening the door until September, assuming no further lockdowns in regional Victoria by then. More details when I know. In the meantime, this shall be the last week of trading at Hobbies Plus for August.

23.01.2022 Open right now and until at least 2pm.

22.01.2022 As I've had a couple of calls today regarding the AFL public holiday tomorrow... Yes, Hobbies Plus shall still be open Friday 23rd October between 10am and 3pm as usual. I'll admit I had forgotten it was a holiday tomorrow, but it wouldn't have made any difference to me. It's a holiday I usually ignore. ;-)

21.01.2022 It's still going to be at least a couple of weeks before I can reopen the shop. However, I'm feeling okay after the operation and have already been in the shop a few times and sent off a light order or two. Nothing strenuous. I also have more stock arriving this week - some of it ordered over a month ago - and although I'm not going to be in any hurry to unpack it all at once (I can't lift much for 6 weeks), I should be able to help if there's anything you're after. So by th...e time I do re-open, the shop should be quite well stocked again. The shop email is still out of order, so contact me via facebook message for the time being. Or phone 5145 6611 - no guarantee it'll be answered though.

20.01.2022 Posted on August 20, but finally got here. Powerline West Coast Railway ACZ and BZ carriages.

20.01.2022 If you've sent an email to me in the last 2 weeks, I haven't been ignoring you. I'm simply not getting them. And my hosting service isn't responding either. I have no idea what the problem is, and due to them stuffing up previously, I can't access my own account to fix the issue myself. As I've not even been able to update my website for far too long, I'll be moving the site soon. In the meantime, please message me via facebook.

19.01.2022 Open today until at least 2pm. Closed Thursday - Friday. Open Saturday 29th 11-2

18.01.2022 After closing this afternoon, I went to the Post Office to post an order, and find they've had a second delivery today. As a result, I have Wubbleyous. :) DC, DCC and DCC Sound versions of the W class in stock.

18.01.2022 I have Steam Era Models kits back in stock again.

17.01.2022 Understandably, many are concerned about whether they're allowed to travel to the shop in the current restrictions. It's open to interpretation and common sense. Here's some relevant info pertaining to Stage 3 restrictions in Regional Victoria. Basically, if there's something you need and you know that I have it here, and you live in the "relevant area" (whatever that really means) then you should be okay. Yes, you can just "go for a drive", but only get out of the car for t...he 4 main reasons to leave home. Obviously there are limits as to how far is reasonable to travel and I can't tell you what those limits are. But this info may help you to decide. I'm happy to post items if you're unsure about visiting in person, or believe you're too far from the shop. Hopefully the travel restrictions in regional Victoria are able to be eased or lifted soon anyway. The shop has returned to regular Wednesday - Saturday 10-3 trading hours for the time being.

07.01.2022 Only 7 weeks after ordering it, the Woodland Scenics top-up that many of you have been waiting for finally arrived yesterday (sitting at a local couriers for 5 weeks). Unfortunately several items were out of stock at the time, but I understand most have since arrived in the warehouse. Of course in the 7 weeks, I've since sold out of other items, so the stands aren't a full as I was expecting. Along with the backorders, I should have the remaining items back in stock soon.

07.01.2022 The plan for this week is... Open Wednesday 11-2 Open Thursday-Friday 10-2 Open Saturday 10-3.... This may be subject to change, but all going well, I may return to Wed-Sat 10-3 trading from next week until restrictions end.

06.01.2022 Shelves are gradually filling again. Powerline VBKs in VicRail "teacup" and V/Line with silver stripes have arrived (no green and white stripes yet), Other blue AZ, BZ, VBK and VFK coaches had already been in stock - all $165 each) plus more BS and BRS in V/Line orange (silver stripes and one green/white) @ $150 each as well as more stocks of the very popular VR blue T class (DCC sound ready) $335 and V/Line and WestCoast Railways hi-nose Ts back in stock @ $295 each. More stock (Auscision, Woodland Scenics etc) on the way. Location unknown.

06.01.2022 More goodies arrived this morning. And some have already gone (not shown).

02.01.2022 Yes, open today until 3pm. After this, the shop will be closed for 2-3 weeks as I recover from surgery. I'll still be here later in the week and the following weeks. I just won't be opening the doors or doing anything heavy. Only light duties such as repairs and mail orders. The shop will reopen once I'm given the go-ahead. Email still not working, so please use facebook for enquiries for the time being. Hopefully I'll have the website on a new hosting service with functioning email by next week.

01.01.2022 As my recovery has progressed much faster than expected, I've decided to open the shop on Wednesday between 11am and 2pm and shall do the same on Saturday. I may do the same next week as well. The shop isn't likely to return to normal hours until the end of September. I'll be limited in what I can lift until then, but for most things that I usually do in the shop, there's nothing really preventing me opening. The limited hours have got more to do with far fewer people being a...ble to travel to the shop during Stage 3 Restrictions, and me having other things to fill in my time. :) Also, if required, you can visit the shop by appointment Monday - Saturday if the hours above do not suit. See you soon. Darren.
