25.01.2022 The Westvic junior trials are scheduled for this Sunday the 5th of February at Prince of Wales park. If you are an under 16 boy or girl interested in playing WestVic hockey register your interest at this link: https://form.jotform.co/70212578390859 You need to register your interest to attend, even if you are a returning player. There is no cost to trial other then your effort.

22.01.2022 Results for JCC are in, congratulations to all who participated! Under 13 Boys finished 7th out of 12 Under 13 Girls scored 3rd in their pool of 10 Under 15 Boys got into the gold medal match and came away with the silver medal... Under 18 Girls finished the weekend with a win for 5th place Under 18 Boys (from what is shown on OneSport) finished 3rd, please comment if this is incorrect so it can be updated. Overall a good weekend of hockey for juniors across Ballarat! Also thanks to all parents and organisers who helped over the weekend.

19.01.2022 Summer Hockey is drawing to a close, with tonight marking the second last round of the competition. Next week as part of the final round and as an end of season event Hockey Ballarat will be putting on a family barbecue. We hope everyone can attend and enjoy what will be a fun evening of hockey!

05.01.2022 WESTVIC U18 TEAM TRAINING SESSIONS STARTING NEXT FRIDAY, 7-8.30PM, BALLARAT HOCKEY CENTRE. COME AND TRY. NO OBLIGATION TO PLAY. The Hockey Victoria U18 competition was introduced as a way of keeping players involved, and to bridge the gap between U16s and senior competitions. It is a more social competition and allows players the time to further develop their skills without having to compete against the senior players. It also allows those who are unable to commit to weekend ...matches due to work, or other, commitments to play for fun again. As it is classified as a development team by HV it is a useful adjunct to senior matches for both HB and WV, and is designed as a team to assist those who are currently making the transition from U16s to VL1/WVL1 representation. WestVic will provide expert coaching, as well as a team bus for away games. We are currently in negotiation with several coaches including former U16 coaches Michael Churcher and Josh Bartlett. Senior men’s coach Chris Vaughan has also offered to assist and we are looking to have specialist coaches attend at various times to teach particular skills. We envisage that players would still play for their local clubs as well as this u18 competition but are also targeting those players who are no longer playing hockey. The first training sessions are scheduled as per the attached flyer, spread the word and help get as many people as possible down to the hockey field to support this initiative.

04.01.2022 The Werribee Hockey Club is once again hosting a preseason tournament in March this year. The competition takes place on the 4th and 5th of March for women's teams and the 18th and 19th of March for Men's. There is a monetary prize for first place. Entries are limited and there is a 250 dollar entry fee. See images for contact details and further information.

02.01.2022 Just a reminder that this coming Monday the 28th of November Hockey Ballarat is hosting a family barbecue after the conclusion of the final Summer Hockey round. Everyone is welcome so bring your families for a fun evening!

02.01.2022 Update for Junior Country Championship: Under 13 Boys and Girls are equal 2nd in their pools with a win, loss and draw. Under 15 Boys are 2nd with 2 wins and a draw, just 1 point off the lead. Under 18 Girls are equal 2nd with a win, loss and draw.... Under 18 Boys are 3rd with 2 wins and 2 draws.
